‼️Roadway and Weather Update‼️

Main highways are all mostly clear with some spots of black ice. The majority of side streets and back roads still remain ice and snow covered. Still if you are out and about please use caution.

The temperatures will be frigid tonight with extreme wind chills. We are still under an extreme cold warning. Please stay warm. Cold temperatures will remain with us through next week.

Tip of the day be extremely careful on sidewalks, parking lots, yards, stairs and walkways. We have seen a tremendous uptick in outdoor falls due to icy conditions in these areas.

As always call 911 if you have an emergency! Stay safe!

‼️ROADWAY & WEATHER UPDATE‼️

Road conditions have deteriorated significantly in the past couple of hours and will continue to through the night. Major state highways are passable but still not optimal for driving conditions. Snow showers have begun and started to cover roadways.

Side roads are becoming impassable at this time and will again, continue to deteriorate through the night. Roadways are very deceiving right now with black ice in nearly over all roadways.

Temperatures tonight will drop to the low teens to single digits in some areas. Wind chills could reach negative feel like temps.

There is still a significant threat of downed trees and power lines due the weight of ice on both. There is a wind threat tonight with winds up to 25 MPH which will make the threat of power outages significantly increase.

Please charge all devices, prepare to stay warm, have back up plans etc. Please if you need to be out use EXTREME caution. We encourage everyone to stay home, stay safe, and stay warm.

Good morning! Main state highways in the lower elevations of the county are drivable, but still use caution with patches of ice, snow, and slush on parts of the road. Back roads are still very treacherous so use caution. Driveways, parking lots, yards, and walkways still remain solid ice.

By 1500 we will start to see temperatures plummet causing all roadways to become extremely treacherous due to icing. There is still also a high likelihood of power outages tonight due to down trees and icing conditions. Please stay safe and have a good day!

01/25/2026

111 heading towards town is clear. Black ice can still be on the roads though, stay safe!
