Tuesday was Tennessee EMS Day on the Hill. We met with many of our state officials from state reps, senators, and the Lieutenant Governor to discuss issues and solutions for EMS in the state.
We were honored to represent Overton County along with several Upper Cumberland agencies and agencies from across the state.
This is an annual event where key issues were addressed and agencies advocated for improving EMS for all personnel, citizens and visitors of the state.
Conversations and outlines for better funding, training, and safety were all discussed. Many bills were presented with positive feedback.
We are grateful for the time our state leaders took to meet with us and sit with listening ears. We were honored for the opportunity to meet with them and present these issues.
We would like to also thank the Tennessee Ambulance Service Association for the vital role they play in this as well. We’re also very appreciative to our local Rep Ed Butler, Rep Kelly Keisling, and Senator Yager for being champions of EMS not only locally but throughout the state.
We will proudly continue to advocate for EMS locally, at the state level, and nationally.
