Honoring a Patient’s Final Wish 🕊️

At Holy Cross Home Care and Hospice in Maryland, Chaplain Samuel S. helped fulfill a patient’s final wish in a deeply personal way. The patient had longed to return home to Africa but was unable to travel, so Chaplain Samuel brought Africa to them, arriving in his own traditional African attire. Surrounded by dignity, warmth and cultural connection, the patient was at peace in their final days. A beautiful example of hospice care honoring the whole person.
