A History of Advocacy

As one of the nation's largest faith-based health care systems, Trinity Health seeks solutions to meeting the challenges of providing innovative care and delivery services. Leveraging our strength – including leaders, colleagues, volunteers, advocates, partners, and delivery system innovations – Trinity Health advocacy initiatives influence public policy and regulatory issues that are critical to people-centered care. We belief that adequate health care coverage is a basic human need required for people to flourish. Additionally, we hold fast to the idea that, pragmatically, coverage allows people to use the health care system more effectively, leading to increased provider and payer accountability, lower costs, a healthier population and a more vibrant economy. Advocating to find solutions to issues affecting our communities is a tradition rooted in our history and influenced by our mission, our core values and our vision. Our Mission We, Trinity Health, serve together in the spirit of the Gospel as a compassionate and transforming healing presence within our communities. Our Core Values Reverence, Commitment to Those Who are Poor, Justice, Stewardship, Integrity Our Vision As a mission-driven innovative health organization, we will become the national leader in improving the health of our communities and each person we serve. We will be the most trusted health partner for life.
