Giant Rock is giving gorgeousness all around - what a day!
Fulfilled by a 40-strong community of carers, the mother stone is over 600 pounds lighter with over 1000 sq ft of layered marks removed.

Four Friday volunteers prepped surfaces with Elephant snot generously provided by Chris at Gubler Orchids. Experienced returning volunteers attacked aerosols on the lower chip and surrounding boulders.

Layers of painted-over tags dissolved using formulas from . Extraordinary volunteers laddered up to find the right combos to cut through the drastic tire treads up the chip.

Our pals at Muck Busters at the rock supplemented a haul of distant scattered moop by Mike Lipsitz, president of the Landers Community Association. Volunteers of all ages meticulously gathered nails, broken glass from bottles, and other trash.

Our friends at Desert Region Fire Safe HDEAA tagged along, supplying the KOH crowd with vital safety equipment and over 50 complimentary installations.

High Desert Keepers provided essential tools, bags, bins, and sanitation all the way from PiΓ±on Hills.

We are forever thankful to for donating a water buffalo to haul water - year after year! πŸ™

This work would not be possible without the consistent assistance from Leroy Cullen Landscaping. Our water wizard transports, fills, and troubleshoots everything needed for pressure washing. Leroy himself donates his time balancing his business throughout.

We love and miss working with Colin and Jill Desert Cleanse Project, who
couldn't make it this time!

We met folk from near and far - Arizona, Nevada, Seattle, and all the way from Australia - ALL grateful for the hard work of volunteers sanctifying our magnificent Mojave sacred site together!

Our auto buds from .society , and and other SoCal clubs camp out time after time, with superstar Stephen on ladders and loading our trailer - end of day! πŸ™

We are gigantically grateful for the continued stellar support from big Joe and little Joe.

Mike at $5 Pizza Place in Landers commits to feeding our volunteers EVERY TIME!!! πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

Join the generations of rad folks at our next cleanup in Llano for Earth Day.

Our next Giant Rock camp and clean is May 29 & 30th.

Learn how to beam a night time message using repurposed materials with at Friday (1/30) night as part of our first of 2026.

Reflecting on the texts of children's author Byrd Baylor, this campfire share allows hands on play with symbols and phrases to learn how to create your own simple handheld projector.

This free opportunity follows our afternoon elephant snot prep and is made possible by a grant from .

Camp overnight and stay for our community clean Saturday at 9 AM.
