Almonds Heavy crops of soft-shell nuts with sweet, flavorful kernels. tree, very winter & frost hardy. Apples

*Fuji: Sweet, very crisp and flavorful, excellent keeper. Dull reddish-orange skin, sometimes russeted. Self fruitful. Ripens in late July to Sept.

*Gala: Wonderful dessert apple from New Zealand. Crisp, nice blend of sweetness and tartness, rich flavor. Skin reddish-orange over yellow. Granny Smith: From Australia, large, late, green, all-purpose apple. Crisp, tart, excellent.

*Blackberry: Thorn less blackberries.

*Blueberry: Need 2 different varieties for best fruiting. Two varieties recommended for higher fruit yield. Boysenberry: This is an improved Loganberrry and its much juicier, larger - lobed fruit than the black berry. Method of growing is similar to black berry except the new canes tend to run along the ground and must be tied up after the fruiting canes are finished. Thornless and very large, ripens over a long period of time. Fruit yield: 4-8 qts per vine. Cherries

Satsuma: Medium to large fruit almost seedless. Self –fruitful. Ripens in the winter.

*Red Grapefruit: Harvest from Nov. to May. Kumquat: Best fresh eating kumquat. Sweet. Hardy to 15 degrees. Elderberry: Very healthy fruit that starts bearing a year or two after planting. Grows

vigorously up to 10-12’ tall as a beautiful ornamental with huge white flower heads. Produces an abundance of tasty sweet fruit. Fruit contains more Vitamin C than Orange or Grapefruit. Ripens in Aug. High in antioxidants. Requires long summer. Self fruitful.

*Fig Two crops per year - early summer and late summer to early fall. Prune to any shape. Goji Berry: Very popular. Light purple, bell-shaped flowers bloom in May. Flowers are followed by bright red berries. Fruit is eaten fresh or dried like raisins. Its berries are very high in anti-oxidants, have more carotene than carrots, and contain all essential amino acids and many minerals. Gooseberry: Light green berries turn pink when ripe. The fruit is juicy, somewhat tart if not fully ripe and is best used for preserves and pies. The bush has an ornamental value with its glossy green leaves that turn purple in the Fall. Bush grows 4-6' tall and can be used as a hedge. Ripens late May to early July. Jujube this fruit not well known, but many health benefits

*Muscadines: There are many varieties available as well as early to late varieties. They are one of nature’s richest sources of antioxidants, the potential health benefits include preliminary evidence for effects against cancer mechanisms, so ot only are they fun to grow and eat they also are very healthy for you.

*Mulberry: Very sweet and flavorful with a raspberry like flavor. A long fruiting season. Olives

Passion Flower : Pleasing tropical apricot like flavor. It is a perennial vine that grows 10-15 foot. Plant 2 for pollination. Hardy to minus 10 degrees. Native vine to the southeast. PawPaw: Fruit combines delectable, fruity, banana-like flavor with creamy, custard-like flesh. Greenish yellow 3-6 long fruit is high in protein and very healthy. Native Fruit for this area. Bears in 2-4 years.

*Asian Pears :Juicy, sweet, refreshing, crisp like an apple. Easy to grow. Keeps well. Harvest late July/early Aug. Bright yellow skin. Peaches

*Dwarf Peach: Exceptionally high quality, richly-flavored fruit. Yellow freestone, attractive red-blushed skin. Harvest early to mid June. 4-5 ft. tree. Self-fruitful.

*Full size: High quality early season peach from Florida. Large, firm, flavorful semi-freestone, very sweet when fully ripe. Ripens Mid-May. Persimmon Medium size, flat shape, still hard when ripe. Cool or hot climate. Hardy, attractive tree, practically pest free. Fall harvest. Plums

Full Size: Juicy, tangy, flavorful. Reddish-purple skin, amber flesh tinged red. Ripens late June. Self-fruitful.

* Semi-Dwarf: One of the most flavorful, aromatic Japanese plums when fully ripe. Beautiful 8-10 ft. tree, weeping growth habit - long slender limbs bow gracefully to the ground. Easily espaliered. Self-fruitful.

*Pomegranite: Large, purple-red fruit with delicious, tangy flavor. Gaudy red-orange bloom, ornamental foliage. Long-lived, any soil. Strawberry

• Large, sweet and vibrant red berry. Taste like they have sugar on them fresh from the field. Performs excellent in heat and humidity. Bears early in the season.

• :Smaller aromatic fruit, but extremely sweet and tender flesh. Bears heavily during the season and puts out a lot of runners.

The crop of new young fruit trees is looking good this year and awaiting new homes to go to. We have an outrageous new crop of over 40 varieties of citrus fruit, all grown on cold hardy trifoliate root stock, plus all the common fruits like apple, southern pears, plums and peaches, as well as unusual fruits like jujube, mayhaw and paw paw. This is the best time of the year to plant a fruit tree and also the best time for good selection; don’t wait until we’re sold out to get your trees.
