Why Diamond?
Many people ask me, why the name Diamond? A name should reflect who you are, what you do and the clients you serve. A lot of thought was put into the name and I want to share the facts about a Diamond.
It is produced over 100 miles beneath the earth under intense heat and pressure in an area called mantle that consist of volcanic magma. The only way it can reach the earth surface is through an eruption and it travels at lighting speed forming into a type of rock. Only a small amount of Diamond rough makes it to the surface. As it cools, specific atoms that mix with it causes impurities which makes it more valuable and gives it various colors such as a red diamond, pink diamond and yellow diamond. The Greek name for it is “Adamas” and it means unbreakable and indestructible. In the Middle ages it was known to give healing powers and cure people with mental illness and Kings wore it in their vest for protection. A Diamond is the hardest substance known to man. The main characteristic of a Diamond is its brilliance and the way it maximize light.
As a Psychotherapist, I know what it means to be made developed through intense heat and pressure that life brings. I understand what it means to go through a process in order to reach the surface of being ready to help others. I not only have the academic ability to counsel but I am one of those Diamond in the rough that barely made it. My life flaws is what gives me my uniqueness and value to relate to my clients.
With all my trials and challenges, I am unbreakable and indestructible. I want to show you how to be the same. My spiritual life gives me healing authority and my ability to allow the light of empowerment on others is what makes me a Brilliant Diamond.
