Wow! It’s been a while since I’ve been on this page but I wanted to say HI! Thank you for being here with me! ✨💕

I’m Laura Ellen - a birthkeeper and sister. A woman who without a doubt believes in the intuitive power of women.

I’ve been on my own soul journey the last year and have still attended births here and there but I am ready to step back into this work as my true calling. A place I know God has led me back to time and time again. 🙏🏼

Tomorrow is my endometriosis excision surgery! I’m grateful to have my health insurance cover one of the top 20 surgeons in the country for this type of procedure. With endometriosis, it’s important to find a surgeon who is knowledgeable of multiple organ systems, not just reproductive, as endo is found all over the diaphragm.

While there are many nerves and feelings for such a big procedure, I’m confident that I’m on the right path to healing.

Today I’m preparing for a month off work and for recovery 💗 while the food option on my meal train is filled, donations are greatly appreciated as losing a month of work will be tough financially. Thank you!

Hi Friends! I’m creating this meal train to help me during recovery from Endometriosis excision surgery.

As many of you know, I have endometriosis - a disease in which endometrial tissues from the uterus grows in places it shouldn’t, such as the ovaries, Fallopian tubes and even my intestines. This surgery on Dec 13 will give me an official diagnosis of the disease, as well as inform me what stage of severity I have.

Depending on how much is found and then surgically removed, will depend on how intense and long my recovery time will be. I’m blessed to have my mom come to Boulder to take care of me that first week post op. This meal train will help take the pressure of meals off my mom so she can care for me. Your meals will be feeding both of us and will be deeply appreciated ❤

The option to donate money will help go towards my rent and other bills as I will be out of work for at least one month.

On November 8, 2022, this mama powerfully freebirthed her baby boy into the world on the bathroom floor.

It is with great honor that I have been able to walk alongside women and witness them in their full primal power. I am humbled and brought to my knees every time.

✨ I believe that regardless of how a mama chooses to birth, having someone their to support her in postpartum is necessary. So much change is happening in this sweet portal of time; from drastic hormone and body shifts, to readjusting to life with a newborn.

It’s a great joy of mine to work with freshly postpartum moms and make sure they have the nourishment that their bodies and minds need to rest and rejuvenate after embarking on the sacred dance of birth. ✨

I am now accepting new postpartum clients for 2023! So if you or a mama you know would like a little extra support and nourishment, please DM me and I’d love to chat with you!!💗

Women need community.
It's in our blood. Our bones.

We are meant to sing together.
Cook together.
Tend the garden together.
Play together.
Pray together.

We all long for this. Maybe this longing is ever-present and permeates all that we are, or maybe it shows its face in the quiet subtleties of life....
In the way we devour poetry.
In the way we make love.
In the way we fantasize about the lives of passersby.
In the way we draw out conversation in hopes for that familiar old spark of depth.

We remember.
Our bodies remember.
We need it.

And I see so many of us today reaching out for such community only to be met with other women who are also Under-Resourced, Under-Pleasured, Overworked, and Overwhelmed.

I'm seeing a detrimental lack of support for Mothers in particular.

{Humanity is suffering largely in part because our MOTHERS are suffering.}

Read that again.

These days moms can't hardly bathe themselves in peace-- let alone find the energy to pour into their passions and life's work.
The passion of the feminine quite literally keeps the world spinning.
Yet instead of being available for spontaneous creative flow and life-altering love, mothers are constantly forced into "Beta Brain".
Making phone calls, meals, money, appointments...
Balancing schedules and checkbooks... Playing Mom, Dad, Friend, Therapist, Doctor...
Playing every role.

Our mothers are exhausted.

So I must ask... At What Cost?
What will come of generation after generation of children being raised by tired, disembodied mothers?

Just look around.

You see...
Mothers don't need patted on the back. Mothers don't need accolades.
They need tangible support in the household and in their communities.
They need shared responsibility.
They need reciprocity in relationships.
They need to be held.
They need pleasure.
Space to release.
Freedom to create for the sake of creating.

And responsibility lies on each and every one of us to give this to our women.

Humanity cannot be free until women are free. And I believe Community is Key. 🔑

A sovereign birth experience starts with a sovereign pregnancy.

To feel fully in your power in birth, you must start feeling fully in your power in pregnancy. It’s time to exercise your sovereignty muscle! 💪🏼

Trusting your body and your baby starts NOW. You can’t enter the birth portal expecting it to all come to you, if you haven’t been leaning into it beforehand.

As a pregnancy coach, I work with women to get them exercising their sovereignty muscles now, so that when birth is knocking on the door, they can answer the call in their full power ✨🔥

who is about to
enter the sea
when you don’t know if she will be met
with storms or calm water
when you don’t know what
journey awaits and
how she’ll make it to shore

What do you say to a sister
when you see her scan the horizon
hesitant and unsure
when you know her fear
and the work that lays ahead
when you know she’ll come out the other side
Changed

Softer perhaps. Or maybe scarred.
But stronger, too, no doubt.

You walk with her as deep as you can into those waters
and you hold her close, as long as you can
and then you let go
and let her dive deep
knowing there are parts of this journey
she must make alone
knowing there are storms that she must face on her own

And you stand, a lighthouse, the shore
as she becomes one with the sea

✨What if we told women the truth about birth✨

We’d have to tell them that contractions will probably be more than “surges” or “sensations.”

That they’ll probably rock your f✨cking world and leave you begging for salvation as you clutch the edge of the tub or the hospital linens

That your gentle breathing exercises and your Spotify soundtrack will be left in the dust as you sweat and pant and sway and swear your way through it

That you’ll trip harder than any mushroom you ever did in college and vomit with the same ferocity and travel to places deep within yourself that you didn’t know existed. That you’ll float above your body and simultaneously be trapped in it with an intensity you’ve never tasted

And in that intensity, in the sweating and the swearing and the swaying and the vomiting and the endless hours of contractions crashing down upon you
You’ll find your strength
You’ll find a resilience you’ve never known
You’ll find the power you need for the journey of motherhood ahead

In the messy humanity of it all
You’ll find that you are holy
A portal to the divine
Capable of indescribable miracles
A vessel of sacred life

What if we told women the truth about birth?
We’d have to tell them they are capable of anything
Worthy of being treated like goddesses
Made to walk through the flames
Surf the tidal waves
Dive into the underworld
And come out alive
