A lot of people feel knots between their shoulder blades and assume that’s the problem area. But often, the real cause is tight pectoral (chest) muscles pulling your shoulders forward.
When your chest is tight:
• Your shoulders round forward
• Your upper back muscles get overstretched and overworked
• Those muscles start to feel tight, sore, and knotted
• You feel tension between the shoulder blades even though they’re not the root cause
Massage helps by:
• Releasing the chest and front shoulders
• Reducing the constant pull on the upper back
• Letting the shoulder blades sit in a more natural, relaxed position
• Taking pressure off those always working back muscles
