Are you looking to integrate training to your rehab?

has been doing just that over the past few weeks. Fresh out of a walking boot we’re checking all the boxes

1: Appropriately as tissue specific exercises
2: appropriate and challenging progressions to get him back hiking in the woods
3: A total program for the whole person pushing the parts that can handle appropriate stress

Struggling with how to get back in the gym post injury? Shoot me a DM

A little re-introduction and backstory for 2026.

1: I help active people overcome pain and get back to playing and working out the way they love
2: I help people individually optimize their training in a way that fits their life, training goals and history.
3: what I do isn’t cookie cutter, it’s one to one, individualized relationship based physical therapy and strength and conditioning

Thanks to .estate.hippie for the help on the video!

Make training make sense for you. If it’s not enticing you won’t do it.

A: hang clean to front squat, I still love Olympic lifts and squatting. But there’s an upper limit for the ole left knee. This set up feels fun but overall the load is lower. That’s fun I’ll keep doing it

B: Concentric focused single leg: I want to feel strong and powerful as I get older. Those single leg shots ain’t gonna shoot themselves. This is honestly experimental and learning

C: I’ll always be a CrossFit homer - just wanted to see if I can do these. And they make your arms huge if you do enough.

Training doesn’t have to be textbook, creative can still be safe and well thought out. DM me let’s talk about what that looks like for you

PS: someone told me something about filling more of tbe frame being algorithm friendly. So get used to the close ups

Just out here trying to one up every long term, early sports specialization expert in the industry

Fresh diaper, big lifts, what else do you need

Bread and butter split:
Jump
Isos
Heavy power cleans
Tempo RDLs (sorry to clients, I won’t stop sending @4010 I just acknowledge it sucks)

Last block was expansion and variance, this one is more load on a similar path. They may look different but they build seamlessly on one another.

And a dance party I wasn’t invited to

Low tech specific re-introduction.

Surgery isn’t a magic bullet or an end point. If you’ve had a procedure in the past 12 months and you’re not happy with the result, DM me.

The surgery didn’t fail because you’re broken, or not capable of getting back to your former athleticism. You simply haven’t taken the final individualized step in your rehab.

If you’re ready to get back in the gym or on the field send me a message.

Last lift of the year. Excited to feel mostly good, move mostly fast and to keep exploring.

Excited to see what 2026 has in store for all my current and future AAFY folks. Bucket head included

I haven’t full snatched In maybe 6-8 months and this was the first time over 135 in probably 8-12 months.

I’ll admit there is no specific utility that full snatching provides that another lift couldn’t. It does not uniquely make me more powerful, does not uniquely make me better at jiu jitsu, does not make me jump higher.

On top of it all, it takes a lot of prep work for my body to feel good doing it. So why include it?

I just freakin like doing it. I like moving fast, I like the technique, and I like the feeling of hitting a good lift.

I Think in today’s fitness atmosphere we forget that it’s ok to chase inane things solely for fun. Now we need to identify that you’re doing it for fun and not confuse any activity with some magic purpose.

This is where I believe good coaching is irreplaceable. Have those conversations, be ok with chasing things that matter, have a plan that fits you

And yes before any of my strong friends or weak friends chime in I know it’s not ok to have yellows as my base plate
