I’ve created a GoFund me for my Aunt Debbie, who lost her husband Leo last week.

Unfortunately his life insurance didn’t cover all of the funeral costs, as well as a few other final expenses.

Leo Searl lost his tough battle with cancer on July 28, 2023.

Unfortunately his life insurance does not cover all of the final expenses and funeral costs. As well as helping his wife, Debbie Spears Searl get back on her feet.

Update on Leo Searl, July 1st:

They admitted Leo into the hospital around 5pm this evening, he's in room 305.
He is doing better tonight and resting. They are keeping him on bags of fluids.They are just going to take it day by day to see when he will get out. Hopefully they will keep him at least till Tuesday so he can stay on fluids till I take him down to Evansville Wednesday morning to have his feeding tube put in or they might transport him their self

Update from Debbie Spears Searl - June 26

I took Leo down to his appointment in Evansville today to see the ears nose and throat specialist and and he's going to see him back in 2 weeks but in the meantime he wants a x-ray modified barium swallow,CT of the neck with contrast, and a CT of the chest with contrast. He also said he had to have a feeding tube put in Asp,if he doesn't then he said he probably won't live two weeks. Dr.Weinberger(the nose ears and throat specialist) said that there was at least three things to worry about for right now,so I just took a picture of what he is most concerned about right now so if you blow the picture up you can read what it says. Leo has lost another 8 pounds since last Wednesday. He says he is hungry but he just can't swallow anything so I've been blending stuff up for him,but he still can't drink it all.

Hi everyone!!! Who’s ready to get this silent auction going! We’ve gotten several more donations and are so thankful for all the love and support for our community!

In about an hour, I will upload an album with individual pictures of each donation. In the comments, comment the amount you wish to bid. Bids must increase by $1. The highest bidder Monday at 8pm will when the item!

Update on Leo Searl:June 20th

He is going to the hospital 2 times a week to get fluids and 2 times a week to see Dr. Waits,so Monday and Wednesdays to get fluids to try to keep him from getting dehydrated again, and Tuesday and Thursdays to see Dr.waits,he put him on a steroid pack today to see if it will help clear up some of his infections in his lungs. He still is losing weight,he is hungry but anything he eats he can't swallow and it comes back up,he is only eating one or two small cups of pudding a day and that is to help get his medicine down but sometimes that still comes back up,Doc wants him to drink 40 oz or more of fluids a day, but he is lucky if he can get 10 to 20 oz down a day. Leo still gets real dizzy and light-headed if he's on his feet very much. Dr Wait's nurses are working on getting him into a nose, ear, and throat specialist as soon as possible and he also talked to us about putting the feeding tube in but Leo says no not until he sees the specialist first. Leo says to tell everyone thanks for the prayers ❤️
