Dear student,
You are a valued member of our training facility and we appreciate the trust you place in us and our professional staff. That is why we want to update you on the situation with COVID-19 (Coronavirus) as it applies to your health and safety in our office. We are advising our staff to refrain from coming to the office if they are ill and to remain at home for two weeks unless they need medical attention. We are asking our potential students to refrain from coming to the office if they have had contact with anyone suspected of Coronavirus or if they have symptoms of illness. We also ask students who have traveled internationally or have been on a cruise ship two weeks prior to their appointment to reschedule.
We use established procedures to prevent the spread of all diseases and viruses. We are in contact with agencies such as Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and American heart Association (AHA) to make sure our policies and procedures meet or exceed established guidelines.
We are committed to providing you with the information necessary to make informed decisions regarding your training needs. We also understand the need for flexibility for scheduling appointments based on your individual concerns. We will do our utmost to make sure you can schedule your visits with confidence.
Our classes are small, no more than six to a class. Students are seated six feet apart. When you enter the classroom, you will be wearing a mask. If you don’t have one, one will be provided for you. You will wash your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds. You will wear gloves and a mask throughout the class. No mouth to mouth CPR will be practiced to assure your safety. The bag-mask will be used for ventilation during two-person CPR. Once you have finished the written test, you will take off your gloves and wash your hands, again, with soap and water for 20 seconds.
