It’s safe to say that if you lost 0.1 pounds in a day, you would never notice any kind of a change. Even if that occurs every day for a week, you still wouldn’t even lose 1 pound.

If you step on the scale, nothing will be different. You’ll likely look exactly the same. It’s easy to assume that you’ve made zero progress.

But let’s look at the big picture. If this continues for a year, you’d lose almost 40 pounds.

0.1 pounds is progress you would never notice, but it’s progress that is still happening, and can lead to some pretty major results over time.

Regardless of how much weight you are losing, you’re never going to see the exact same results day after day- your weight is always going to fluctuate. But when you feel like you’re making absolutely no progress, there’s a strong chance that the progress is just too small to notice right now.

Patience is always the key.

A year might feel like a long time to wait for results, but a year will pass you by before you know it. Don’t get caught up in short-term, unrealistic goals. Focus on the big picture and don’t get discouraged.

It might feel like you’re not making any progress, but wait it out. Flex your patience muscle and watch how it benefits you in the long term.

It’s the smallest changes that can make the biggest differences.

🍔 Eat Out, Lose Weight 🍔
⠀⠀
🚗 Do you often eat out? Are you a fan of date night? Do you like trying new restaurants, but are also trying to maintain or lose weight?
⠀⠀
🙋🏻‍♀️ If that’s you, then this post should help! Let’s talk about how to eat out (at a restaurant) and still make or keep progress on your fitness goals.
⠀⠀
❌ When you eat out, here’s what I would try NOT to do:
⠀⠀
🔺 Drinks that contain calories (especially in large quantities)
🔺 Anything that’s fried, when you could opt for grilled instead
🔺 Neglecting protein for carbs and fats
🔺 Adding extra sides of carbs (not that carbs are bad, but they add up fast and are often not filling)
🔺 Lots of sauce, dressings, condiments, etc
🔺 Sugary mixed drinks when consuming alcohol (light and dry is often “better”)
🔺 Eating a full dessert or multiple desserts
🔺 Underestimating the total calorie intake for the meal
⠀⠀
✅ When you do eat out, here’s what I would try to do:
⠀⠀
▫️ Water, water, water!!! Add lemon or limes for flavor.
▫️ Grilled foods, instead of fried
▫️ Adding protein to the meal (extra, baby!)
▫️ Ask for an extra side of veggies, or swap your “carb” for veggies
▫️ Ask for dressing and sauces on the side so you can dip
▫️ Dry wine or light alcohol makes the most sense
▫️ Share a dessert with bae or a friend
▫️ Overestimate total calories consumed
⠀⠀
✔️ If you eat out a lot, then do your best to follow these simple rules! They do help, and the can really add up to keeping your fitness progress alive and continuing along the right path!

If you’re new to weight loss or aren’t sure how it works because of the overload of information on the internet, this post is for you!👊

If your goal is to lose weight, you don’t need to think about whether you want to do keto, paleo, low carb or even try crash diets, detox programs or even waist trainers. Keto, paleo and low-carb are all methods of dieting that have one thing in common = they lead you to being in a calorie deficit. The negative aspect about these 3 diets is that you can’t be 100% sure that you’re going to lose weight because you don’t actually know how many calories your consuming. Crash diets, detox programs and waist trainers are 100% a waste of money.❌

What you need for weight loss is making sure you are in a constant calorie deficit, meaning you need to burn/use more calories than you consume.✅

Weight loss is a simple process, but definitely not an easy one. For you to be in a calorie deficit with the goal of losing fat, you have to either reduce you calorie intake, increase your daily activity or do both. I recommend the combination of both. The more you exercise, the more you are able to eat.

The most annoying belief that many people have is when they say “all you have to do to lose weight is eat healthy foods and stop eating sweat, junk food and snacks completely”.🤦‍♂️

Firstly, even if you eat only healthy foods, it won’t mean you’ll lose weight because some healthy foods are also very high in calories. Secondly, cutting out the foods you enjoy/love will eventually lead you to giving up and binging out. Cutting out those foods is simply not sustainable.

👉The best ratio for a successful and sustainable fat loss process is 80/20 Clean whole foods / ’Soul’ foods, foods that you truly enjoy.

Mushroom Swiss Omelette

1 tablespoon of butter, divided
1/2 cup portobello mushrooms, thinly sliced
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
2 eggs
1 tablespoon heavy cream (you can sub 1 tablespoon water if needed)
salt and pepper to taste
1 slice Swiss cheese

Instructions

In a 6 inch skillet melt 1/2 tablespoon of butter over medium heat, sauté the mushrooms and garlic, stirring occasionally, until the mushrroms are tender, about 6 minutes. Remove the mushrooms from the pan and set aside.

In a small bowl beat the eggs, heavy cream, salt and pepper until the eggs and smooth and a little frothy.

Wipe the pan clean with a paper towel and melt the remaining butter, tilt the pan back and forth so the bottom and sides of the pan are greased.

Pour the beaten eggs into the pan, tilt the pan back and forth so it is evenly coated. If the eggs seem to be cooking too quickly reduce the heat to medium low. Allow the eggs to cook undisturbed until the eggs have almost set.

Top half of the omelette with the Swiss cheese and sautéed mushrooms, fold the other half of the egg over the fillings.
