Something to do in October. Check out the Descanso Garden.

The popular all-ages family-friendly event, Carved, is back at Descanso Gardens through Oct. 31. Thousands of carved pumpkins will line a 1-mile walk through the Camellia Forest and Oak Grove. New oversized sculptures made of sticks and other natural materials and animated totems will be displayed throughout the gardens. Other themed features include pumpkin carving demonstrations, pumpkin house, a hay maze, and themed food and beverage and picnic style seating.
