Marty’s Cart brings smiles to our waiting rooms 💛 Stocked with free books for kids, Marty's Cart is funded by donations and rolled out by volunteers to support young patients while they wait. Kids can borrow a book, or keep it, because comfort and imagination are part of healing.

Thank You for Making Toys & Joy so special! ✨

What a beautiful day it was at Toys & Joy! Our hearts are full thanks to the incredible guests, dedicated staff, generous volunteers, and supportive community who came together to make this event truly magical. And of course, a very special thank-you to the one and only Santa Claus for spreading holiday cheer! 🎅

From the smiles and laughter to the joy shared throughout the day, this celebration was a wonderful reminder of what we can accomplish when we come together. Thank you all for helping us create lasting memories and a day filled with joy. We couldn’t have done it without you!

LuskinOIC’s staff, Dr. Scaduto, his team, and volunteers brought care and special gifts to nearly 50 patients and families at our Border Clinic in Calexico. More than 30 volunteers from Orthopaedic Magnet High School and Las Amigas delighted children with toys, arts and crafts, and a visit with Santa Claus. 🎁🎨🎅

Our high school volunteers also had the opportunity to shadow our doctors, supporting our mission to inspire and train the next generation of healthcare professionals. Thank you to the volunteers and donors who make moments like these possible for our patients and students!

For over 30 years, LAPD SWAT and the Luskin Orthopaedic Institute for Children (LuskinOIC) have joined forces to bring holiday magic to our community. Thanks to you, nearly 2,000 children will receive a special gift and a moment of joy this December.

🎁✨ This week, LuskinOIC welcomed more than 100 neighbors for a festive holiday breakfast, complete with toy and gift basket giveaways made possible through our longtime partnership with the California Highway Patrol.

Community leaders, families, and kids came together to share a meal, celebrate the season, and support one another. As the only pediatric orthopaedic hospital in downtown LA, we’re proud to care for the whole child; mind, body, and spirit, during the holidays and all year long. 💙

We had an amazing time hosting students from LAUSD’s University Pathways Medical Magnet Academy. The group toured departments across the institute, meeting and listening to talks by doctors and staff, and asking thoughtful questions along the way.

The students were engaged, curious, and excited to learn about real career pathways in health care.

A big thank you to all the teams who participated. Your time and insight made a real impact. We appreciate you helping inspire the next generation of medical professionals! 🌟
