Join the Out Here S*xual Health Center's Substance Use Programs at 12pm on September 14th, for a virtual presentation on fentanyl overdose and prevention strategies.

Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that can be deadly even in very small amounts, and many other drugs, including he**in, m**h, and in some cases ma*****na, can and have been found laced with this dangerous drug.

The DEA has also announced a surge in the sale of fake prescription pills containing the deadly opioid on social media platforms like Snapchat.

According to an analysis of U.S. government data, more adults between the ages of 18 and 45 died of fentanyl overdoses, than any other leading cause of death, including COVID-19, motor vehicle accidents, cancer, and su***de.

During an interview on August 31st conducted by La Opinion newspaper, in Los Angeles, and in recognition of International Overdose Awareness Day, to Mario Moreno Zepeda Chief of Staff – White House - Office of National Drug Control Policy. Mr. Moreno said that even though they are projecting to see a reduction of deaths caused by overdose, by the end of fiscal year 2023, this reduction is very minimal.
