We’re thrilled to announce that the State of California now recognizes CAMTC certified professionals as Health Care Providers.
As of January 2026, our work is officially acknowledged under California state law.
This is a major milestone for our profession and for the dedicated massage therapy providers who care for clients every day. It’s a long overdue recognition of the vital role massage therapy plays in health, healing, recovery, and wellness.
A unanimous, bipartisan decision—232 votes in favor confirms that our work matters. This amended law extends CAMTC’s authority, and today we celebrate progress, respect, and recognition for all certified massage professionals.
