I met Gianluca about three years ago, and right away there was something about his energy that pulled you in. His personality was infectious. As we spent more time together and I heard his journey from Italy, to taking a leap into a new country, starting from scratch, and building a life through food, it was impossible not to be inspired.

I asked him if he’d be open to telling his story, not just as a chef, but through his passion for creating experiences for people. He didn’t hesitate for a second. That’s how this film began.

We were incredibly fortunate to be given full access to his world, his family, his home and his everyday life. The timing made it even more special with his dad visiting Toronto from Italy during production. Every dish he creates tells a story, from what he experienced as a kid in Italy to where his journey is now.

Our team lives for stories like this. Building them, shaping them, and bringing them to life is what fuels us creatively.

How do you build storytelling into events?

Well, we are creating a new video series just about that. It’s an inside look at what we do at SenovvA and how we bring stories to life through events.

We’ve always talked about sharing our perspectives, what we’ve learned over the years, and about the craft of storytelling in the events world. And now we are. Our goal for this series isn’t just about sharing our perspective, but to spark conversation and ask questions. How can we strengthen our industry together? How can we inspire new ideas? And how can we challenge ourselves to think differently about what an event can be?

We kick things off with the building of a story-based agenda. Dave gives a peek inside how you can build the fundamentals of story into your program’s agenda.

We’re excited to share this series, and first episode with you, and hear your thoughts, your questions and your experiences. So, jump in, comment, share and ask.

Last night at the Unionville Gala was such a wonderful evening filled with amazing people, all coming together to raise funds in support of our seniors. We’ve been proud supporters of this organization for 15 years and it’s truly an honour to be part of such a caring community. Markham is an incredible city, the people and businesses who give their time and energy continue to inspire us.

Both Dave and I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our team, who dedicate their time each year to create the video for this event. Your work brings the stories to life and makes such a meaningful impact.

Thank you to all the donors and the incredible team at Unionville for everything you do.

I’ve known Brent from Fusion for a long time and seeing the success of his design firm, now celebrating 30 years is such an amazing achievement. Brent and his team are truly something special, bringing so much life, creativity and fun to everything they do.

We were lucky enough to be brought on to help tell their story, who they are, what they do and most importantly why they do it.

These are the moments that remind us how fortunate we are to step inside a company, meet the people behind it and witness their passion and love for creating.

When they say “it takes a village,” it really does.
This past week, we filmed two commercials over four days with multiple setups, all inside one house, with a tight space full of actors and crew.
For me, it was incredible to watch how a team comes together to make everything happen. It felt like watching a choreographed dance, with every person moving in sync and with purpose. The coordination, focus and collaboration was amazing to see and best of all, we stayed on schedule for both shoots!
I want to give a huge shoutout and heartfelt thanks to our amazing crew for making this production such a success:
