For the past ten years, InSouth Magazine has stood as a vital pillar, providing essential resources, delivering crucial information, and fostering invaluable connections within this dynamic community.

The and event underscored the magazine's broader impact, particularly in driving economic growth within the Upstate region. By actively connecting Hispanic-owned businesses with their American counterparts, InShouth Magazine has played a pivotal role in creating synergistic opportunities and bolstering the local economy. Last Saturday, I had the privilege of attending the 37th Annual Carolina Association of Translators and Interpreters - CATI Conference # , hosted this year by the University of South Carolina Upstate in Spartanburg. As a South Carolina resident, it was incredibly convenient to have this enriching event just minutes away.

As always, the CATI conference provided an invaluable opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces and forge new connections within the translation and interpreting community. The atmosphere was welcoming, fostering lively conversations and the exchange of ideas. It's these interactions that truly highlight the strength and vibrancy of our professional network.

The conference's diverse program of presentations was nothing short of outstanding. Each session offered insightful perspectives and actionable takeaways, covering a wide range of topics relevant to our ever-evolving field. From cutting-edge technologies to best practices in business and ethics, the content was both educational and thought-provoking, leaving me inspired and eager to implement new strategies in my own practice.

As a former preschool teacher, I understand the critical role that clear communication plays in a child's development and learning. Estar en mi Guatelinda 🇬🇹 siempre me recarga las baterías con esos hermosos paisajes, el clima incomparable, mi gente linda siempre tan amable y trabajadora, y la comida llena de un sabor inigualable y único.
Esta vez tuve la linda experiencia de compartir con mis ex-compañeras, colegas maestras y amigas en la celebración de los 25 años de graduadas.
Fue un gran gusto ver a muchas de ellas después de tantos años y re encontrarme con algunas más. Algunos maestros muy queridos también estuvieron presentes.
Sin lugar a dudas, el ser maestra parvularia es una profesión llena de muchas satisfacciones ya que nos permite formar a los pequeñitos durante los primeros años de su educación los cuales son la base para el resto de su experiencia académica. Al mismo tiempo nos prepara para muchas áreas de nuestra propia vida, no cambiaría esa experiencia por nada del mundo.
Además de todo ésto, tuve la oportunidad de celebrar mi aniversario de bodas # 23 por adelantado. Definitivamente el tiempo pasa volando y tenemos que atesorar cada una de esas vivencias y aprovechar al máximo cada momento.
Estoy muy agradecida con Dios por permitirme disfrutar momentos tan lindos.

This past Friday, I had the privilege of providing Spanish to English interpretation services for the "The Best of Latinos in the Upstate Awards". The awards recognize and honor outstanding Latino businesses, organizations, entrepreneurs, and American businesses serving and employing the Latino community.
It fills me with joy to witness the thriving and flourishing of our Latino community in South Carolina and across the United States. I extend my gratitude to Ghisela Linette Eljach and Insouth Magazine for the opportunity to collaborate on this remarkable project.
Providing interpretation services at this event highlighted the crucial need for language access in Greenville. The English-speaking guests who utilized the interpretation equipment gained firsthand experience of the challenges faced by many individuals who struggle to understand and communicate in a language other than their own.
By offering interpretation services, we can foster greater understanding and inclusivity within our community. It was an honor to contribute to this initiative and raise awareness about the importance of language access.
