Our humanitarian goal is to provide Nicaraguan’s with affordable purified drinking water. A necessity so basic that most people in developed countries take for granted. Water related illnesses can be acquired through consumption, lack of hygiene, and sanitation. The most common bacterial diseases and contaminants that affect Nicaragua due to unpurified water are cholera, bacterial diarrhea, hepatitis A, hepatitis E, leptospirosis, dengue and yellow fever. Our aim is to effectively impact and help combat these health risks by providing affordable purified water. Purified water will help reduce these illness because the water will no longer be contaminated, therefore eliminating the illnesses caused. Not only are we going to aid in combating these illnesses, but we will also improve the sanitation and hygiene conditions, which in turn decreases over all water related illnesses and contamination's, thus further helping by reducing hospital visits and lowering the health cost burden on the nation.
