For years, I carried a promise to share the principles that were passed down through generations of teachers before me—wisdom meant to be lived, not just learned.

And yet, the deepest imprint on my life came from my father. His example shaped how I understand resilience, stillness, devotion, and what it truly means to live well.

I wrote The Korean Art of Living Well to share his wisdom through my hands—rooted in ancient teachings, offered in a way that’s practical, steady, and real.

Thank you to everyone who has already pre-ordered! I hope that this book isn’t something you read once and put away, but something you return to—opening a page when you need it, carrying a single piece of wisdom with you through your day, and letting it quietly shape how you live.

Officially available for order tomorrow! Link in bio 🔗

Being in San Francisco during Super Bowl week to speak with athletes and cultural leaders about SABU feels like a real milestone.

Not because of the spotlight, but because of the ripple effect.
Community is built one conversation at a time.

One introduction. One shared experience. One moment where something meaningful lands and people feel it in their bodies.
That’s how a movement grows.

I’m grateful to be here to listen, to share, and to keep bringing SABU to the people around me in a way that feels personal, intentional, and true.

If you’re in SF this week and feel called to connect, reach out. I would love to meet you!

SABU is a return.

A return to the wisdom that lives in your body.

A return to your connection with the earth beneath you and the world around you.

A return to practices that were never meant to be rushed, packaged, or performed.

In Korean, Sabu means teacher—not one who instructs from above, but one who walks beside you, guiding you back to what your body already knows.

SABU is a living community rooted in Taoist lineage, herbal medicine, sound, movement, and ritual.

This community was created for those who feel the quiet pull toward something deeper, steadier, and more true.

This isn’t about fixing yourself.

It’s about remembering that you are already whole.

Here, we reconnect—to ourselves, to nature, and to the understanding that we hold the power to shape our own life experience.

We gather to slow down.
To listen inward.
To flow with the natural world.

SABU is for those who feel called to live with intention, presence, and clarity and to do it in community.

If something in you is stirring as you read this, You’re already closer than you think.

Begin your SABU journey

Hi, I’m Dr. Jenelle Kim 🤍

If you’re new here, welcome. This community has grown a lot over the last year, and as it grows, I want this space to feel more personal and connected.

So here’s a little about me:

I’m a 9th generation Master Herbalist, Taoist longevity expert, and author of The Korean Art of Living Well, and I’m also a mom of two boys.

I share grounded, realistic wellness tools that support the nervous system, digestion, hormones, and long-term vitality—without extremes.

Tell me below: where are you joining from, and what are you most focused on right now (energy, stress, digestion, sleep, hormones)?

Want to level up in 2026? Start here.

If you’re setting intentions for the fire horse year—more energy, more clarity, better health, stronger boundaries—don’t overwhelm yourself with more to-do lists.

Start with conversations that actually shift the way you think… and the way you live.

I’m sharing five episodes of The Experts that offer grounded insight, practical tools, and perspectives you can return to again and again as you build your 2026 with more intention.

Save this for later.
Listen when you’re walking, resting, or needing a reset.

Connect with nature because it is medicine. In Taoist philosophy, when the mind feels loud, we don’t force it into silence.

We return to what’s true: the rhythm of the earth, the steadiness of trees, the simplicity of breath. Nature reminds your nervous system how to regulate again — without effort, without performance.

Even 10 minutes outside can change your day.
Bare skin to sunlight.
Feet on the ground.
Eyes on something living.

Let it be enough. Then watch what returns to you.

I recently sat down with and to talk about what my book is really about—and honestly, the timing couldn’t be more perfect.

With the East Coast bracing for a massive winter storm right now, people are feeling the weight of stress, cold, and uncertainty.

But here’s the thing: The Korean Art of Living Well isn’t a book about doing more. It’s about returning to what actually works—especially when life (and the weather) feels loud, fast, or heavy.

Inside, I share the practices I’ve learned through my lineage as a 9th-generation Master Herbalist and Taoist longevity expert—and the rituals I return to as a mother of two boys, in real life, not in a perfect routine.

• An applied philosophy rooted in centuries of ancient wisdom, made practical for modern life

• A steadier nervous system through the integration of Movement, Mindset, and Medicine

• A clear framework for daily living guided by the 8 Keys, not rigid rules

• A calmer, more intelligent relationship with your body and its signals

• A longevity approach grounded in wisdom, embodiment, and lived practice—not trends

You’ll find herbal guidance, food as medicine, meditation and mindset practices, and rituals designed to help you build vitality over time—gently, consistently, and with intention.

Whether you’re snowed in, stressed out, or simply ready for something real—this is your invitation to step inside. 🤍

Out February 10th in 14 languages. Link in bio to pre-order.

In Taoist medicine, we don’t force a new life in January.
We return to what’s true… and we build from there.

As we step into 2026, I keep coming back to the same question:

What would change if you stopped pushing — and started living well, on purpose?

That’s the heart of my book, The Korean Art of Living Well — a guide rooted in Taoist wisdom, Korean herbal tradition, and the practices I’ve lived, studied, and taught for decades.

If you’ve been craving more ease, steadier energy, and a life that feels like you again… this is for you.

Save this. Swipe through. And take what your body recognizes.

Herbal Spotlight: Lotus Root 🌿✨

Lotus root is more than a beautiful ingredient — it’s a traditional herb and food used for centuries to support the lungs, digestion, and overall resilience.

In Chinese and Korean herbal traditions, lotus root is valued for helping:
• Support clear breathing + lung health
• Soothe dryness (especially when the air is cold or dry)
• Promote healthy circulation and grounded energy
• Support digestion with a gentle, nourishing profile

One of my favorite ways to enjoy it: thinly sliced in soup or broth, lightly sautéed, or simmered into a warming tea with pear and ginger.

Nature is always offering us medicine — sometimes it looks like dinner. 🌱

Mānuka honey is one of my favorite winter staples — not because it’s trendy, but because it’s genuinely bioactive and supportive when your body needs extra care. 🍯❄️

If you’re shopping for Mānuka, here’s what I want you to know before you buy:

• Look for UMF® or MGO (this is what tells you it’s truly active)
• Higher isn’t always better — choose your strength based on your goal
• Check for traceability + certification (real Mānuka is from New Zealand)
• Avoid heat-processed, mystery blends that dilute the benefits

I shared everything you need to choose the right jar — and how to use it for immune support, gut health, and skin.

📍Read my latest in Redbook: Everything You Should Know About Mānuka Honey (and How to Choose the Best One).
