As a former athlete, I often think of parenting as one of my favorite sports. We used to do team dinners and our coach always made sure we’d eaten/hydrated before a game to make sure we were ready. But now, it’s up to me to hold myself accountable & make sure I fuel up.
Playing a sport requires stamina and endurance. It requires working through mental blocks and keeping your “head in the game”

Just like a sport it is so important to fuel yourself for parenting. I know it can be tough getting a meal in when your baby demands a lot from you. There are moments that you just wanna sit on the sideline and watch the game, but as the MVP player of the team, you have to stay in the game and show up everyday. But even MVP players need a break.
So just like in a sport, you have to fuel yourself for parenting. You have to hydrate, you need those 5-10 min breaks to catch your breath, regather your thoughts and stamina.
I love being a twin mom and would never trade it, but we definitely have rough days. It’s so important to fuel yourself, especially starting the day with breakfast + protein! Take those mental breaks and hydrate! 💦
