Over the last five years, Chris has brought something rare to this studio — the ability to solve genuinely complex problems while making everything and everyone around him better in the process. His depth of knowledge, his optimism, and his commitment to doing the work right have earned this moment.

Set on a rare 4-acre lakeside parcel divided by an inlet, this residence was designed to feel as though it floats above the water—an opportunity seldom realized. A guest house sits to the east, while the main home, tennis court, and amenities occupy the western edge, connected by an open-air bridge that captures views and breezes above the lake.

Arrival unfolds along a tree-lined drive to an entry courtyard framed by water and stone. Inside, a horizontal water feature draws the eye toward the inlet and into the main living spaces, where expansive glazing and sweeping rooflines orient the home toward the water. The infinity pool extends this connection—reaching outward before turning beneath a glass-floored dining room to reconnect with the entry sequence.

Private spaces are arranged around a tranquil courtyard, offering a sense of retreat, while art, light, and landscape are carefully balanced throughout. With a restrained palette and seamless indoor–outdoor flow, the home becomes a quiet dialogue between architecture and its natural setting.

Perched above Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood, Londonderry was designed as a home for gathering—layering bold architectural gestures with expansive views and spaces for entertaining.

Arrival unfolds up a steep drive to marble steps that wrap around a sculptural water feature. Inside, the double-height living room opens on both sides, spanning across water and extending to the pool terrace beyond. The main level brings together living, dining, kitchen, and family spaces—all oriented toward the city.

A defining feature of the home is its double-stacked pool: a glass-bottom upper pool filters light down to a second pool below, surrounded by greenery for privacy and anchoring both levels of the house.

Below, a full entertainment floor includes a game lounge, media room, wine cellar, bar, gym, and wellness spaces—completing a residence designed for both scale and experience.

Set on a tight hillside lot above Sunset Plaza, Marcheeta I is designed to maximize views, light, and privacy within a constrained footprint. A marble-clad façade screens the home from the street, opening instead to a private entry courtyard defined by water and light.

The sloping site allows direct access to a lower-level garage while creating a rear yard that brings daylight into additional bedrooms and entertainment spaces below. Large operable walls and linear skylights flood the interiors with natural light, enhancing the connection between levels.

At the main level, the pool becomes a defining element—cascading into a lower water feature that wraps a fire pit lounge. Skylights embedded within the pool bring daylight and movement into the spaces below, creating a dynamic interplay between water, light, and architecture.

Set on a narrow, triangular lot in Beverly Hills, this residence transforms a challenging site into a view-focused family home. With the upper level required to run perpendicular to the view, the design centers on a ceremonial arrival—linking the drive court to the entry via a glass bridge over a light-filled courtyard below.

A cascading water wall frames the entry, flowing from the main level down into the basement, reinforcing the home’s connection between levels. Inside, living, kitchen, and family spaces open directly to an infinity-edge pool terrace, all oriented toward the city beyond.

Above, the primary suite cantilevers dramatically over the pool—creating a floating volume that shades the terrace below while capturing uninterrupted views. Additional bedrooms and family spaces are arranged around the lower-level courtyard, bringing light into the basement alongside wellness and entertainment areas.

A composition shaped by constraint, defined by water, light, and elevation.

One of our earliest Los Angeles projects, this Bird Streets residence is defined by a singular idea—a 75-foot pool that bisects the home like a canyon, flowing from a water wall at entry to an infinity edge overlooking the city below.

A bridge spans the water to connect public and private wings, while full-height glazing captures sweeping views and reinforces the indoor–outdoor experience. Living spaces unfold along the pool’s edge, with the primary suite and study positioned on one side and social spaces on the other.

Below, guest suites, media areas, and outdoor terraces extend the home’s connection to the landscape. Later reimagined with a recording studio for Avicii, the residence evolved while maintaining its core concept—water, light, and clarity of form.

High above the Pacific Palisades, this residence captures uninterrupted views of the ocean and surrounding landscape, designed to take full advantage of Southern California’s year-round indoor–outdoor living.

Organized across three levels, the home centers around a water courtyard that brings light into the lower floor. A meandering driveway leads to the arrival court, where the view is first revealed. Inside, the main living and dining spaces open south to the garden, while the kitchen and family room extend west toward the pool and protected natural surroundings.

The upper level is dedicated to private spaces, including the primary suite and additional bedrooms, while the lower level houses entertainment and wellness areas. Clean architectural lines are balanced by a warm palette of limestone, oak, and metal accents—creating a home that feels both grounded and open to its environment.

Set beside the Wentworth Golf Course in Surrey and surrounded by mature trees, this residence was designed for a growing family while bringing elements of the California lifestyle to the English countryside. The 12,000-square-foot home is organized across two levels over a basement, carefully responding to local planning requirements while embracing the surrounding landscape.

Two light wells bring daylight deep into the lower level, with the primary courtyard forming a dramatic entry reached by bridge and framed by a three-story glazed stair. From the double-height foyer, living, dining, kitchen, and family spaces open toward terraces and gardens, with a pool and guest house set just beyond.

The basement level houses wellness and entertainment spaces—including an indoor pool, gym, wine cellar, and game room—while the upper level contains four bedrooms including the primary suite. Designed to celebrate the changing seasons, the home blends contemporary California influences with local character through brick façades, warm wood soffits, and refined metal detailing.

Set atop a plateau in the hills near Santa Barbara, this residence commands sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean, the Channel Islands, and the Santa Ynez Mountains beyond. Part of a larger ranch community, the home is designed to fully embrace its Southern California landscape.

The architecture wraps around a central courtyard—a contemporary interpretation of traditional Hacienda design—offering shelter from ocean breezes while filling the home with light throughout the day and framing the night sky above.

Living spaces open seamlessly to terraces and gardens, with pocketing glass walls connecting the main pavilion to a pool terrace where planted islands and trees frame the sunset. The estate also includes a wellness retreat, guest house, underground parking, and a helicopter landing pad—creating a retreat designed for both relaxation and gathering.

Perched on a layered hillside overlooking Beverly Hills and the greater Los Angeles basin, this residence fully embraces its dramatic setting—especially after dark. Inspired by California modernism, the architecture pairs clean lines with warm natural materials, allowing light, landscape, and city views to take center stage.

Arrival unfolds gradually: a steep drive to the motor court, a limestone stair to the glass foyer, and a skylit stairwell that immediately frames the illuminated skyline beyond. At night, the main living and dining spaces glow from within, opening on both sides to terraces, garden, and pool—blurring the boundary between interior and exterior.

The upper level centers on the pool and garden, with the primary suite elevated for privacy and panoramic views. Retractable glass walls dissolve corners, giving the bedroom and bath the sensation of floating above the city lights. A home office and additional bedrooms complete the level, balancing openness with intimacy.

Below, a sculptural walnut and limestone stair descends past a backlit wine display into an entertainment level wrapped around a lush, sunken courtyard. A lounge with bar and fireplace anchors the space, joined by a media room, gym, guest suites, and service areas—all connected by light and landscape.

A restrained palette of travertine, limestone, oak, and dark metal detailing grounds the architecture, while curated planting and specimen trees tie the home seamlessly to its hillside site.
