The ADHDtime Book Club started as an accountability experiment for me.

In 2025, it became a community.

Together, we read 13 ADHD related books, a total of 3,233 pages, covering memory, relationships, identity, productivity, and lived experience. Few people read every book. Many read some. All participation counted.

The goal was never perfection. It was connection, curiosity, and conversation.

As we head into 2026, my hope is to keep reading together in a way that feels accessible, thoughtful, and supportive for ADHD professionals, adults with ADHD, and the people who love them.

New year. New books. Same low pressure invitation to read along.

I am proud to share that my article, Remembering the Future, was published in the December issue of Attention magazine by CHADD (Children and Adults with ADHD). 📰 The piece focuses on prospective memory, remembering to do things in the future, and why these slips are so common in ADHD. I also share practical ways to reduce shame and support follow through by working with the brain rather than blaming it.

I am grateful to CHADD for the opportunity to contribute to Attention magazine and to be part of an ongoing effort to translate cognitive science into everyday understanding for people with ADHD and those who support them. 😍

This month’s blog explores why compliments can feel complicated for ADHD brains. I write about the mix of joy, self doubt, and behind the scenes effort that often shows up when someone says something kind. If you relate to the duck gliding on the surface while paddling furiously underwater, I think you’ll enjoy this one.

Wrapping up the 2025 International Conference on ADHD! ✨

Even after so many years in this field, this conference touched me in a way I didn’t expect.

So grateful to be able to speak at ! My talk on forgetfulness and ADHD on Friday was such a meaningful experience. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who attended, asked thoughtful questions, and stayed afterward to continue the conversation. You made the session what it was. 💛

I sadly missed Thursday’s events, and I’m already looking forward to catching up on the recordings. But from the moment I arrived, I was surrounded by colleagues, parents, educators, coaches, clinicians — people who care deeply about doing this work ethically, compassionately, and evidence-based. 🧠✨

To everyone who came up to chat, walked with me between sessions, grabbed coffee with me, or shared stories from your homes, classrooms, and coaching practices — thank you. I learned so much from all of you. These connections are the best part of any conference for me. 💬💙

I’m deeply proud to be part of this community — one that continues to fight misinformation, uplift research, and support individuals with ADHD in powerful and meaningful ways.

A huge thank-you to for hosting such an incredible conference. 🎉
📍 See you all in Baltimore, 2026!

Why ADHD Awareness Still Matters in 2025?

This year, ADHD Awareness Month feels especially important. Awareness is not just about diagnosis or information -it’s about dignity, understanding, and creating the conditions for people to thrive.

What surprises me most is how often, even in 2025, people still don’t realize that ADHD is not a choice. It’s not a matter of willpower, laziness, or attitude. ADHD is a neurodevelopmental condition that shapes how people focus, plan, remember, and relate to others. Diagnosis, treatment, and support can change lives. Yet too many still face stigma, disbelief, or a lack of access to care.

At a time when disability rights and inclusion feel less secure, raising awareness is both an act of education and of empathy. When we talk openly about ADHD, we help others understand that brains work differently—and that difference deserves respect, not judgment.

💭 I’d love to hear from you:
Why do you think we still need ADHD awareness?
What do you wish more people truly understood about ADHD?

Memory isn’t just about recall. It’s about how we learn, encode, store, and retrieve information in ways that actually work with our brains. In this episode, we explore practical strategies that make studying less overwhelming and more effective.

From note-taking that truly supports learning to strategies around sleep, nutrition, and asking for help, I lay out a roadmap for students and adults with ADHD who want to make studying stick.
Whether you’re heading into a new semester, preparing for a certification, or simply trying to remember what’s in that self-help book you just finished, this episode gives you tools to work with your ADHD brain, not against it. https://takecontroladhd.com/podcast/tag/Daniella+Karidi
