I have for quite some time been of the mind set of "what is the worst that could happen? They say no, you don't get it, not right now, not with them". I saw this post this week and I decided to utilize this mindset to replace the last one and see what happens. I mean "what is the best that could happen?"!

As a person with disabilities commuting can be really hard. The commute into Los Angeles these past months has been really hard. Was attacked on Metro once, and twice on the Metrolink stations.

Lost of unhoused folks really struggling to survive. So many people with disabilities, so many seniors, so many families with small children. I needed a change of plan as I approach 50 and I wanted to help folks find the the help that they need.

I was looking for the following when I was looking for something new:

1.-Can continue advocacy work
2.-Union job
3.-Completly remote
4.-Rewarding
5.-Good pay and benefits

This is where I have landed and I am so grateful and exited to have join the 211 LA County team! I am so glad I am able to do my new job completely remotely from home!

And yes, they are still hiring!
