Belief is the architect of your human experience.
Without belief, there is no framework for reality to appear. Your belief sets the frequency. The frequency determines what you can perceive, receive, and experience.

This is why two people can live in the same world and exist in completely different realities.
They are not reacting to life — life is reflecting their beliefs back to them.

We’re always told that intention is everything in spellwork. But is it really?

Yes, your why matters. Immensely. But the tools you choose? The herbs, oils, crystals, and words? They carry the spell, they hold the spirit of the work, they’re not just props they’re partners.

In my own practice, I take my time choosing the right materials. I listen to what’s needed. I connect with the energy of each element I work with. For me, spellwork is less about control and more about collaboration. Once everything is gathered, the clarity, the spirits, the spell itself, the next piece is just as important. The ability to focus, channel, and actually weave the energy into form. This is where your senses become sacred tools. Your body becomes the altar. Your imagination becomes the bridge. Intention is the seed. But the spell? That’s the soil, the rain, the moonlight, and the tending.

A few moons ago, a photographer I adore asked if she could capture me and my daughter, and of course, I said yes.
She works with wet plate photography, the kind that feels like it was born from another time, that is soft, mystical, a little haunted in the best way. These portraits feel like spells caught in silver. Like a glimpse through the veil.

Autumn has this quiet way of teaching us how to release and remember at the same time. The world can feel heavy. There's no denying that, but as the leaves let go, they remind us that shedding isn't the same as losing. It's a kind of renewal. I try to take a little time each day to notice what makes me who I am, to name the things l"ve done well, even if ney're small, and to let that acknowledgment settle into my bones. I think it matters to celebrate ourselves, especially when life feels uncertain. To fill our space with warmth, good people, and gentle thoughts. To walk away, unapologetically, from whatever dims our light. Autumn whispers that self-worth isn't loud, it's steady, grounded, and ours to protect.

Today, we invite the magic the season into our homes. Decorate with Samhain symbols and the colors of orange and black. Hang a wreath on your door to welcome protection and the cycles of the year. Arrange pumpkins, apples, acorns, ir cones, conkers, ', and leaves as little talismans of abundance, growth, and transformation.
Light candles, set out a cauldron, or display skulls and crystals to create corners of quiet magic. Nature is the best decoration-beautiful, meaningful, and full of energy. Let your home become a space that feels both festive and sacred..
