What a beautiful Thanksgiving at Vitality Living Stony Brook.
Today our community was filled with the sound of family laughter, warm hugs, shared stories, and the joy of being together. Watching our residents gather around the table with the people they love most was a reminder of what this season is truly about—gratitude, connection, and the comfort of home.

A special thank you to our incredible culinary team, who poured their hearts into preparing a delicious Thanksgiving meal for everyone. Your hard work and dedication made today feel truly special.

Thank you as well to every staff member who stepped up to help, whether you greeted families, served plates, guided residents, or simply offered a kind word. Days like this happen because of your teamwork, compassion, and willingness to go above and beyond.

And finally, thank you to our residents and their families. Your presence, your smiles, and your trust in us mean more than words can say. We are honored to be part of your celebrations and thankful to share these moments together.

We kicked off the Christmas season in the most meaningful way today. ❤️🎄

We at Vitality Living Stony Brook had the joy of shopping at the Bethlehem pop-up store hosted at First Baptist Church Middletown. (11711 Main Street) The Tabash family—who own one of the largest gift shops in Bethlehem—brought their beautiful handcrafted items all the way to us.

Because of the war in Gaza, tourism in Bethlehem has dropped to nearly zero, leaving so many Palestinian Christian families struggling. The Tabash shop supports numerous artisans who depend on this work to provide for their families and continue their centuries-old traditions.

Since we can’t go to them… they came to us. And supporting them today felt like giving back in the true spirit of Christmas. 🌟

The shop will be open until 8:00 pm tonight.
If you’re nearby, please stop in, shop, and support their efforts. Every purchase makes a difference. ✨

Pray for peace. Shop with purpose. Let’s help shine a little light back toward Bethlehem. ❤️

Today we went on safari… without ever leaving our chair.
Virtual Reality had us dodging lions, whispering to giraffes, and waving politely to a hippo who was definitely judging us.

10/10 recommend.
No sunscreen, no bug spray, no running for our life.
Just us, some VR goggles, and a new friend Carl the Elephant who absolutely needs his own talk show. 🐘🌍✨

Today we spent the day at the Cincinnati Museum Center to experience Auschwitz: Not Long Ago. Not Far Away. It was powerful, sobering, and deeply moving. Walking through the artifacts, photographs, and personal stories was a reminder of both the unthinkable cruelty humanity is capable of—and the incredible resilience of those who endured the unimaginable.

It wasn’t an easy exhibit to see, but it is an important one. It asks us to remember. To learn. To listen. And to carry those lessons forward so that history is never allowed to repeat itself.

If you have the chance to go, we truly recommend taking the time. You will leave changed—more aware, more compassionate, and more grateful for the freedoms we often take for granted. ✨🕊️

🎃 Family & Community Trick-or-Treat Night! 👻

What a spook-tacular evening we had! Our halls were filled with laughter, costumes, candy, and the joyful spirit of Halloween. 🧡 Residents, families, and neighbors came together for a fun night of trick-or-treating, sweet memories, and plenty of smiles.

A big thank-you to everyone who decorated, dressed up, handed out candy, and helped make this night such a success. Events like these remind us that community truly is the heart of Vitality Living! 🕸️🍬

🌄🎶 Take Me Home, Country Roads! 🎶🌄
Our residents had a rocky mountain high of a good time at Derby Dinner Playhouse enjoying the incredible John Denver Tribute Show! From classics like “Annie’s Song” to “Thank God I’m a Country Boy,” everyone was singing along and tapping their toes.

What a beautiful afternoon filled with music, memories, and joy! 💛

📍 Louisville Adventure Day! 🎉

We had a crabtastic time exploring the Frazier History Museum — stories of Kentucky’s past, cool exhibits, and lots of “oohs” and “aahs” along the way! 🕰️✨

Then it was off to Joe’s Crab Shack for a seafood feast by the water! 🦀🌊 The laughter was louder than the waves, and no one left hungry!

It was the perfect combo of history, friendship, and good eats — another memory made with our Vitality Living Stony Brook family! ❤️

For Breast Cancer Awareness Week, we decided to turn Shelbyville a few shades brighter… and what better place than the Bell House Restaurant —which is already pink! 🌸

Between the building and our outfits, it looked like a whole flock of flamingos had taken over town. 🦩💕

A fun day, full of laughter, love, and a whole lot of PINK! 💗
