Last Wednesday we hosted nine physicians who are fellows in the Nestlé Nutrition Institute Clinical Nutrition Fellowship for Physicians in our Culinary Medicine Kitchen for a hands-on demonstration of healthy meal preparation with Teresa White, executive chef at Dare to Care Food Bank, and Dr. Ashima Gupta, ophthalmologist and culinary medicine practitioner.

The fellows, who come from all over the country, spend two weeks at UofL and two weeks at Mayo Clinic for a full immersion training in specialized medical nutrition. They will take the knowledge and skills they learn in the program to teach their colleagues and set up nutrition education at their home institutions.

We are proud our kitchen could be used to teach the next generation of physicians in nutrition and culinary medicine principles.

Yesterday we surprised 2025 Gold Standard Award honoree James McCabe with his medal during a luncheon with his retired colleagues from the UofL College of Business. Dr. McCabe was unable to attend the ceremony in September, so we're delighted we could present him the award in the company of his friends, who have met for lunch each month since 2014. Congratulations, Dr. McCabe! 🏅✨
