It isn’t neutral, but it is ethical. Because when you believe people deserve safety, dignity, bodily autonomy, and access to care… congrats, that’s already a value stance.
I don’t pretend to be a blank slate. I’m a human with beliefs, a nervous system, and, yes, opinions.
AND
In the therapy room? My job isn’t to recruit you to my worldview.
My job is to be ethical, attuned, and curious about yours.
I can hold my values and be objective.
I can advocate for humanity without pushing an agenda.
Which is honestly great, because I’m an online therapist…
and if you saw the stickers on my laptop, you might think I was trying to indoctrinate you instead of help you regulate your nervous system.

This month was full of newness; I always welcome adventure but especially in my bday month. Forest bathing…highly recommend. Apple cider donuts from an orchard, a 4 mile hike to Ouzel Falls (my longest walk in some time and aTest for my body these days), and leaf peeping 🍂 to name a few. I even saw my first moose 🫎 walking amongst the trees early in the morning. My weekend was filled with fun, adventure, laughter, good food all that filled my soul and left me with a happy heart. It’s important to find balance in life and not allow work to creep into all the places in your life. Live, play and find rest in whatever that looks like for you. What did you do this weekend to play and rest?

We have entered in my favorite time of the year, seasons changing, sweaters and fun fall outfits, the crisp air, fall smells, the eerie gorgeous moon, and so many fun activities.

October is my birthday month and I like to celebrate all month with fun, new things to do and self care. I’m a firm believe in celebrating birthdays because we each have a purpose and our actions and words impact others, we may not realize it or see it but those interactions however big or small can change lives and that’s worth celebrating you.

So for my birthday this month, do something nice for someone else, choose to do a good act for others or even for yourself.

Give yourself a little more grace, get a massage, do something you’ve never done and enjoy October along with me.
