📢If your insurance company offers a program where you can “chat with a therapist/psychologist any time” it is likely AI and not a human.

Also indicating, not a therapist or a licensed medical provider of any kind.

REAL therapists are testing these programs out by asking “Are you a licensed therapist” and the AI bot answers yes. But when pressed and asked how and where they are licensed they respond with “You caught me!” Or “You’re right. I have training but I’m not licensed”.
Don’t fall for it.

Find a human therapist (not a coach) who has a license. If you can’t afford them, many therapists offer scholarships or sliding scales.

Ask. Don’t resort to an AI bot

In times of uncertainty about what lies ahead, it’s common to become overwhelmed by worries about possible negative outcomes. If you find yourself caught in this cycle, take a moment to pause and breathe deeply three times to ground yourself in the present.

Now taking referrals for Teen girls 6 week DBT Group!

Teen Girls 6 week DBT Group
Tuesdays 5:30pm-6:30pm
May 7th-June 11th, 2024

Preparing teens with tools to manage life's challenges is imperative to set them up for success. Teenage years can be the age of onset for many stressful life transitions and providing tools before teens feel lost is a major aim for providing DBT skills. I will utilize an evidence based practice called Dialectical behavior therapy, DBT. This is a preventative and skill-based group that teaches mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness and distress tolerance with a workbook included. Girls ages 12-17.

Group is in-person, office based with Virtual as an option located in Loveland off of Eisenhower Blvd.

Participation weekly is encouraged, however this is an open group operating with a minimum of 3 participants and maximum of 10.

Healing isn't linear. After years of chronic stress, being on alert, or hyper productivity your nervous system is in over drive. Once on a path of healing your body will relax, letting go of stress hormones which may feel exhausting. Allow your body to rest & recover.

Connection to the natural world can be challenging especially in urban areas.
Our fast-paced lives are intensely technologically focused, which means as a society we are becoming more and more disconnected from the natural world.

Research states we are spending 90 percent of our time indoors. Most people spend the majority of their days inside concrete buildings and in cars commuting.

There is minimal time to step into a natural place. To gaze at the stars, sit by a tree, put feet on the grass, watch clouds pass by, listen to the birds chirping, discover insects, listen to the roaring river or walking a trail.

🌿Nature based therapy challenges an individual or a couple’s underlying disconnection to the natural world while focusing on other issues presenting in daily life, such as anxiety, depression, anger issues, intimate relationships, body image, and trauma.
