Macro basics 🏆

Tracking your food intake is essential and im wholeheartedly against cutting out a macro group completely.

Your body needs and functions off of all 3.

No macro is “bad” for you. You just dont know how to manage them.

Protein is 4 cals per gram
Carbs is 4 cals per gram
Fat is 9 cals per gram

BMR needs to be calculated and TDEE added as well.

From there decrease or add calories for a “cut” or “bulk”

Macro percentages matter!

I write this to you dear reader, exhausted.

But that’s life and id rather be exhausted than sedentary or mediocre.

Now, what I want to convey to you is this… excuses are like buttholes, everybody has one. Its easy to blame anything and everything on some excuse, a serious one or not.

But how about we change our minds to say “What do I have to do?” then execute the answer to that? No matter how long or how hard or what you have to sacrifice.

At the end of the day, if you’re making excuses, you truly just don’t want it bad enough.

3 mistakes you may be making in the gym ❌

1. Stop ego lifting- I cannot stress this enough, don’t sacrifice more weights for crappy form. You will wind up hurting yourself and then the weights control you not vice versa!

2. Slow it downnnnn- Your muscle are a contractile tissue and they are made of motor units and fibers.. to recruit more, you have to go slower to work more! Hypertrophy hack!

3. Dont get discouraged! - If you saw a workout and want to try it, do it! It may be one of your new favorites but if it takes moving some benches and possibly looking “silly”… well do it anyways. You’re doing this for you, to grow you! Dont care what others think, plus you might inspire someone else to do the same thing you’re doing 🤷🏻‍♂️

Leg press (feet placed high) 4x12

Seated calf raise 4x15

Prone hammy curls 3x15

I take what is known for fact as truths to give to y’all in the hopes of furthering your fitness journey’s whether it be nutrition, physiology, biomechanics and maybe down the road chemistry 🤭
