🎀👟 Pink Pumpkin Run – Last Chance for Your Shirt! 🎟🎃

👉 This Friday is the LAST DAY to register to guarantee your event t-shirt! Wear it proudly as a symbol of unity, strength, and hope.

The Pink Pumpkin Run is more than just a 5K. It’s a day to honor survivors, support fighters, and remember those we’ve lost to breast cancer. 💗 Together, we’ll pink out Lucedale on Saturday, October 18, 2025, in support of the GRHS Foundation’s Pink Ribbon Fund, which provides financial assistance for breast cancer testing and care to patients right here in our community.

Event Highlights:
5K Run/Walk – Run or walk in honor of someone you love.
Kids’ Sprint – A special dash for ages 7 & under.
Free family fun – Games, face painting, crafts & giveaways.
Breast Cancer Honor Board

🌟 Welcome to the Team, Merritt Vise! 🌟

We are excited to introduce Merritt Vise, the newest Occupational Therapist at SouthEast Rehab!

Merritt is a proud Lucedale native and 2017 GCHS graduate. He went on to earn his Bachelor’s in Kinesiology and Master’s in Occupational Therapy from the University of South Alabama. Along the way, he worked as an academic advisor, personal trainer, and continues to serve as a youth minister for teens in George and Jackson counties.

His passion for occupational therapy took him all the way to Southeast Asia, where he and his wife spent several months teaching English, caring for patients in local hospitals, and training nationals in orthotic and splint fabrication. Since returning home, Merritt has gained experience across skilled nursing, acute care, school-based therapy, and outpatient care—with a special love for hand therapy.

Outside of work, Merritt enjoys hunting, bladesmithing, and playing disc golf. He joined the SouthEast Rehab team in June 2025 and has already made a wonderful impact alongside our therapists.

Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Merritt Vise—we are so glad to have you as a part of our GRHS family! 💙

Independence Day holiday Hours!

In observance of Independence Day, all administrative offices, pharmacy drive-thru, elective outpatient services, and clinics at George Regional Health System will be closed on Friday, July 4, 2025.

We hope you enjoy a fun and festive holiday with your loved ones—and as you celebrate, here are a few tips to help keep your 4th of July safe and injury-free:

🎇 Firework Safety: Light fireworks in open areas, keep a water source nearby, and never allow young children to handle them.
🌭 Grill with Care: Keep grills at least 10 feet from buildings and never leave them unattended while in use.
🚗 Travel Smart: Buckle up, avoid distractions while driving, and plan ahead if you'll be out late.
☀️ Beat the Heat: Stay hydrated, wear sunscreen, and take breaks in the shade when outdoors.
