I'm finally home! It's so cold 🥶
Thank you to the Moreno's Johnny Moreno Shanna Moreno for taking care of Cruz for me while I was in the hospital. I appreciate y'all so much! Gracias!

I'm still very swollen and sore and will be for a while. Thanks to Stephany Puentes for holding down the fort Briana Lankford Brian Lankford Lynn Nunez for coming to see me at the hospital along with my amazing bff Shellie Draper. You all make it so much easier for me to be strong 💪 My sister has taken me to every appointment, physical therapy appt, hospital check ins pre ops. She's also my caregiver she helps with cleaning the house, cooks for me, helps with my meds and wound changes. Also she helped with my colostomy and ileostomy bag changes and that's not easy! Also Steph did my bag changes for me a lot! If I didn't have all this support don't know where I would be. It takes a physical as well as an emotional toll on you and I'm still trying to work through that. I love my family so much so thank you EVERYONE !! I love you too the moon and back.

Day 1 after my ileostomy take down surgery. Thank you for your prayers they really helped me a lot and I'm so happy that this surgery wasn't as tough as I thought it would be.

I want to give everyone an update with what's been going on with me. I had to let my close family know first and my close circle of friends before I posted anything here due to it's delicate nature.

After seeing the GI oncologist he told me that this tumor that I have is a possible Sarcoma cancerous tumor. Sarcoma's are also known to spread to the lungs so I need to get a CT with contrast of my lungs to rule out the spread of it.

The bad news about this tumor is that it has encased my left ureter (the line from your kidney to your bladder in which urine flows)

It is also putting pressure on my kidney and filling with urine because it cannot drain properly. That is what causing the excruciating pain in my side.

It has also encased my main blood vessels that send blood flow to me left leg as well as the muscles in which your leg bends up and down. The reality is that by removing this tumor I can lose the feeling to my left leg or I will lose motor function to my leg.

My ureter will more than likely have to be replaced with something such a a vein unless they can save it. And they will also have to repair the major blood vessels and muscles they cut through with something equivalent so that I have use of my left leg but odds are I will need physical therapy to get the use back of my leg

"Abutment of the distal descending colon and abutment of the left common iliac vessels, and abutment of the left psoas muscle."

NEXT STEPS : After my surgeon discussed my case with the tumor advisory board at Loma Linda they want to biopsy the tumor before moving forward with anything and I will go in for that next week. It will be done in radiology and they will sedate me and give pain meds through my IV and put a needle in my abdomen and draw out some fluid and test it. That will tell them exactly what they are dealing with and how to treat it before surgery.

Biopsy schedule for next Thursday
CT of chest scheduled for May 20th.

More than likely they will use Chemotherapy to try to shrink the tumor before they dive in to surgery because of the fact that this is very invasive.

So much information has been thrown at me the past week, I can only take it day by day, week by week, appointment by appointment. Hearing this news has devastated me to say the least.
Continued prayers for healing, strength, and faith beyond what I can even imagine is needed.
