We are delighted to welcome Dr. Emma Kerr to our team! With over six years of experience in the eye care field and one year as a licensed optometrist, Dr. Kerr brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to our practice, particularly in medical eye care, specialty contact lens fitting and surgical postoperative management.

Dr. Kerr graduated from the Michigan College of Optometry where she perfected her skills in a variety of clinical settings. Her extensive clinical experience includes:

● 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐎𝐦𝐧𝐢 𝐄𝐲𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 - focused on glaucoma, diabetic
retinopathy, and dry eye disease, providing pre- and postoperative care for ocular
surgeries, including cataracts and corneal procedures.

● 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐄𝐲𝐞 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐨𝐟 𝐖𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐧 - provided a full-scope experience,
ranging from managing complex ocular disease to fitting specialty contact lenses and
managing conditions such as keratoconus and other anterior segment abnormalities.

● 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐚 𝐄. 𝐋𝐮𝐭𝐳 𝐕𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐟𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐬 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 - developed expertise in
diagnosing and treating a wide variety of ocular health cases, including glaucoma and
diabetic retinopathy in our veteran population.

● 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝐋𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐲 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 - currently providing
comprehensive eye care in a multidisciplinary primary care setting. She has gained
valuable experience managing ocular diseases, fitting scleral and other specialty contact lenses, co-managing surgical cases, collaborating with other healthcare providers, educating patients and developing personalized care plans to support long-term eye health.

At West Shore Eye Care, our mission is to provide eye care that exceeds expectations. Dr. Kerr’s commitment to whole-body patient care rooted in empathy, clinical excellence and strong communication aligns perfectly with this goal. She is eager to establish meaningful connections within the community and contribute to our collaborative team environment. In her spare time Dr. Kerr is an avid golfer and an accomplished violinist/fiddler.

Eryn has been part of the West Shore Eye Care family since 2021, first joining us as an optician and later as a technician. With her nursing background from Ferris State University and her Ocular Hygienist degree from the Canadian Dry Eye Summit, she brings incredible knowledge, compassion, and dedication to her patients—especially when it comes to dry eye care.

She’s been in healthcare for nearly a decade, working in everything from hospitals and rehab facilities to psychiatric care and optometry. What makes Eryn truly shine is her commitment to building personal relationships with patients and helping them achieve their best health.
When she’s not at the office, you might catch her riding dirt bikes, boating, or tackling home construction projects.

Caitlin brings a unique mix of knowledge, passion, and care to West Shore Eye Care. With a strong background in science—including a Biochemistry degree from Liberty University and a Master’s in Biophysics from the University of Virginia—she has a deep understanding of eye health and a true love for helping patients see their best.

She especially enjoys the optical side of optometry, working one-on-one with patients to make sure they receive the personalized care they deserve. 🌟
Outside of the office, Caitlin has a green thumb and a love for homesteading! Whether it’s tending her large organic garden, canning, or experimenting with freeze-drying, she’s always busy creating something amazing for her family.
