UNC Health Southeastern is proud to announce that three of its cardiologists recently achieved board certification. Sagir Ahmed, MD, and lshtiaque Mohiuddin, MD, PhD, both achieved nuclear board certification, and Muhammad Ahsan, MD, attained interventional cardiology board certification.
Achieving board certification demonstrates that a cardiologist has met rigorous educational and professional requirements, including specialized training and successful completion of comprehensive examinations. This certification ensures that the cardiologist is capable of using advanced imaging techniques to provide accurate and effective patient care.
