Making intergenerational memories at outdoor events is vital for family health and wellbeing. Gathering strengthens bonds across generations and creates shared experiences that last a lifetime.

Too often, barriers to accessibility prevent families with diverse needs from fully participating in celebrations, recreation, and entertainment together.

The Lynnebago, a mobile public amenity designed with universal access in mind, removes these barriers by providing dignified restrooms featuring a universal changing table, a sensory sanctuary, and communication supports for all ages and abilities.

By ensuring everyone can join in, The Lynnebago helps families connect, celebrate, and thrive together in community spaces. Universal design means your entire family is expected and welcomed; no one has to stay behind when memories are being made.

🧡 Please share your experiences below in the comments: What’s the biggest barrier your intergenerational family/friend group faces when seeking outdoor events?

The Lynnebago accessible event trailer and community engagement hub represents what is possible when inclusion and advocacy meet ACTION. By offering dignified toileting options, private space for peace and calm, and diverse communication aides, The Lynnebago creates a more equitable outdoor experience that fosters belonging and redefines access to joy for all.

🚨 With oversight for the disability community’s civil rights protections being undermined at the federal level, local community focused initiatives like The Lynnebago are CRITICAL to ensuring our ENTIRE community can fully participate in life.

🚀 There is no time like the present to build the future humanity deserves.

Accessible trails in state and municipal parks are vital to public health. They offer connection, movement, and joy for everyone. Utilizing universal design in landscape, facility, and program development ensures that EVERYONE can experience the physical and mental health benefits of nature.

The Trails for All initiative in Massachusetts will create access to nature , providing the disability community and ALL humans opportunity for respite from daily stress, meditative calm, and recreational experiences supporting mental health and overall wellbeing. Lynnebago co-founder Lisa Marie Tulipani and her family joined Waypoint Adventure, Appalachian Mountain Club, Executive Office of Energy & Environmental Affairs, DCR Universal Access Program last Friday for a "Trails for All Hike" in the newly updated accessible trails of Bell Isle Marsh in East Boston. We are excited to explore how The Lynnebago can support these gatherings and trail programs in the future.

We spoke of collective action, challenges, and hopes for more inclusive space in parks and trails, formulating ways to support and amplify the efforts of the Trails for All Working Group.

Information about the Trails for All movement in Massachusetts, and how to get involved in the comments.

Everyone deserves the chance to find peace, reflection, and renewal in nature.

Now more than ever.

The Lynnebago has earned national and international recognition for its human centric design and mission to set a new standard for outdoor event accessibility.

But without immediate funding support, our prototype and community engagement research cannot move forward.

The Lynnebago founders created this initiative to cultivate a better life for their families and community, and need your support to cover essential initial operating costs and debut their creation to the public.

Funds received will go directly to our recently increased vehicle storage fees, furnishing our Sensory Sanctuary room, and hiring a grant writer to secure further funding.

Supporting The Lynnebago start-up fund will make more inclusive outdoor spaces possible, providing access to community, dignity, and joy to the spectrum of humanity.

Who’s ready for some GOOD news?

You are?

FANTASTIC!

The Lynnebago is a candidate for the Japanese Toilet Association’s 2025 Annual Toilet Awards, and our work will be on display during this years 41st National Toilet Symposium in Tokyo Japan.

Our accessible event trailer and community engagement hub prototype was designed as a vehicle for actionable change, so we couldn’t be more thrilled with this year’s JTA symposium theme, “Toilets that are Kind to Everyone,” which will explore the social impact of restroom design in transportation infrastructure.

JTA Toilet Award recipients will be announced from Tokyo November 10th, recognized as “Good Toilet Day” in Japan.

Take a sneak peek at our symposium poster, which is awaiting Japanese translation, and CELEBRATE this achievement by supporting our INTERNATIONALLY recognized work!

Our prototype trailer is built, and we need funding to move forward furnishing our sensory room, planning focus groups, and applying for research grants. Support our work here: https://givebutter.com/LynnebagoLaunch

We look forward to celebrating Good Toilet Day in November!

Team Lynnebago kicked off this Wednesday with a productive strategy session at (one of several neighborhood) Dunks. Fueled by caffeine and collaboration, they mapped out objectives and outreach for the next few weeks.

At noon co-founders Lisa & Maria had the honor of being featured guests on NewTV's Innovation Showcase, hosted by the world's most delightful human Jay Sugarman. The episode will be out next week, so exciting!

The Lynnebago ladies concluded their day by grabbing dinner and a celebratory bread pudding. Complete with a candlelight wish, they took a moment to set intentions for continued progress and prosperity.

Balancing family caregiving with entrepreneurial trailblazing IS possible. If it feels like you're burning the candle at both ends, we suggest extinguishing one side...by sticking it in dessert.

Work hard, share your story, and celebrate sweet successes whenever you can!
