Our Story
We are a school-based health clinic with the Little Rock School District, and are located at Chicot Elementary & Early Childhood Center. Our focus is to support students by providing equitable access to quality healthcare that meets both the physical and behavioral health needs of students. By doing so, we can improve learning outcomes. Our goal is reduce student absenteeism, increase preventative care, and infuse healthy habits within the school culture. We are able to make that access a reality for students through a grant from the Arkansas Department of Education and the commitment of our community providers. Through a partnership with Arkansas Children’s Hospital, students have access to clinic appointments with a Advanced Practice Nurse and Registered Nurse three days a week for preventative and primary care, vaccinations, illness and chronic illnesses such as asthma and diabetes. Through a partnership with Living Hope Southeast and The P.A.T. Center, students also have access to Behavioral Health services five days a week for therapy, group and family services.
