Happy Saturday!!! 🤗 It's been one week since my 🥳Birthday Yoga Flow🧘🏽‍♀️, & I'm still in celebration mode!!! Thanks again soooo much to everyone who attended & special thanks to Rachel Gerrity Cunningham & the Homegrown Yoga family for all of your support!

That night was nothing short of AMAZING, & my heart is still so full just thinking about all the positive energy that filled the space. ❤️ It was such a wonderful feeling to be able to give to others as a way to celebrate another year of life. So much joy & happiness was shared, & I'm grateful that yoga could bring us all together.

Happy Veterans Day!!! 🥰 Today we honor all the brave men & women who have served & are still serving our great nation with courage & dedication. THANK YOU to all veterans for your sacrifices, your strength, & your unwavering commitment to protecting our freedoms. On this Veterans Day, let's take a moment to pause, reflect, & thank those who have proudly worn the uniform & never expected anything in return. As the wife of an Army veteran, I truly understand the sacrifices that are made while serving, & these sacrifices remind us of what true dedication looks like. We are forever grateful. 🇺🇲🙏🏽🙌🏽🎖

Hello Beautiful Souls!!! 📢 I have exciting news!!! 🚨 I've decided to celebrate my birthday by offering a FREE beginner-friendly yoga event on November 15th, & you're invited!!! 🥳 There will be an in-person option at Homegrown Yoga in Macon at 5pm & virtual option via Zoom. Happy Saturday!!! 😁Yesterday's 🎀 Pretty in Pink 💝 silent auction at Britique Boutique to raise money for United in Pink was a true success!!! I even left with a few winnings myself! 😏🛍 It really warmed my heart to see so many people show up in support of a great cause & an amazing, inspiring person. This event honored the lovely Rachel Gerrity Cunningham, owner of Homegrown Yoga, who is currently battling breast cancer. Despite this, she has continued to have a strong presence in our community & has remained positive while still supporting & inspiring others. She will always have a very special place in my heart. 🩷 Please continue to support breast cancer awareness & research. We all have known someone who has been affected by this disease, so let's continue the fight to find a cure. Special thanks to Brittany, owner of Britique Boutique, Janet Harvey, the Homegrown family, & the community for making this such an amazing event!!! 😘

Happy Monday!!! 😁 This powerful quote by Maya Angelou reminds us that change & growth are not easy & often come through struggle. The beauty that we admire in life is usually the result of deep, sometimes painful change. Caterpillars can often be overlooked, forgotten, or even considered undesirable. Deep internal change through metamorphosis is essential for them to one day emerge as butterflies. In my own journey of becoming, I am persevering through the darkness, fear, uncertainty, & stress in order to become the beautiful butterfly I'm meant to be. Hello Beautiful Souls!!! 🥰 Our Restore Her: A Restorative Yoga & Bookclub Event for Women this past Friday was absolutely AMAZING!!! 🙌🏽 I got a chance to share a space with some beautiful women who inspired me just as much as I inspired them. We practiced stillness in restorative yoga poses, we journaled about which poses resonated the most with us & why, & we had a discussion on what it means to truly rest. By bringing in this season of transition with a focus on rest, we began to better put life into perspective. Thanks so much to Jasmine Terry Okafor & A Small Place Bookshop for providing a wonderful, safe space & for providing great insight into Octavia Raheem's book Pause, Rest, Be: Stillness Practices for Courage in Times of Change. Happy Monday & Happy Fall!!! 🤗🍂 As we enter into a new season, I'm drawn to a quote that speaks to growth & transition. A water lily that begins sprouting underwater in darkness & unseen by others, later blooms beautifully above the water in sunlight. Growth must first start within, hidden & sometimes in darkness. This isn't a step that we are able to skip or rush. If we're patient, our beautiful bloom of growth becomes visible in time. We start to understand that the bloom is the result of the deep-rooted journey & not the starting point. We are the water lily, & we always have been. We might start out in the mud, unsure or unclear, but we work our way through & bloom in the sunlight. It doesn't matter where you are in your journey at this moment; all that matters is that you're growing. What areas of your life will you choose to grow & bloom this week? 🤔🥰🌸🫶🏽

Happy Monday Beautiful Souls!!! 🥰 This week I'm inspired once again by nature! These 3 amazing quotes (no I couldn't pick just 1 😆) describe just how I felt while hiking through the Wesleyan Arboretum this past Saturday morning!!! Nature has a way of putting life into perspective as you observe new beginnings & growth while also observing endings & even death. Yet everything is in perfect balance. Nature is a place where there is no need to rush or be busy, but it helps us to slow down & have patience as we observe its natural beauty. For me, nature has always had a way of calming & relaxing my mind, making it effortless to take the next breath. I feel alive, connected to all living things, & even closer to our Creator as I bask in nature. It was so nice that we’re doing it twice!!! ✌️🎉❤️ Mark your calendars for TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 16TH and join us for another 🌟FREE🌟 day of family yoga sponsored by Central Georgia Autism and The Arc Macon!!

Led by Laura Sugg, our 9:30am offering is an 1.5 hour class for caregivers, family members, friends, and anyone in support of our neurodivergent community. Class will include gentle movement, breathwork and even a yummy snack! Zero yoga experience is needed and we have extra mats you can use!

Then at 4:15pm, it’s the kids’ turn!! This hour-long class is for autistic and neurodivergent children and any kids who also love and support their neurodivergent family and friends. We recommend kids be between 4 and 17 years old to attend!
