Turning Point learned how to make homemade pie crust this afternoon and then used this skill to make 3 different pies. All the pies turned out delicious and we loved working on many cooking skills in the kitchen today!

Turning Point cooked at Meadowood Community Center this afternoon and made homemade spring rolls and cheesy mashed potatoes. We were able to practice lots of good peeling and chopping skills and also learned how to wrap the spring rolls. It was a delicious afternoon!

Turning Point had a great tour at Prairie Athletic Club this afternoon. We learned about the various areas around the club and even got to try some of the different fitness equipment. Thanks Elie and PAC for a fun tour!

Turning Point toured the Lussier Family West YMCA today and learned about the different services they offer the community.

Turning Point cooked at Meadowood Communuty Center today and made beef nachos and cookies n cream bars. Both items turned out delicious!

Turning Point toured Tandem Press this afternoon and enjoyed learning all about the printmaking process. We also loved seeing so many amazing works of art!

Turning Point had a great time touring Duck Donuts Madison, WI this afternoon and learning all about how they make their donuts. A big thanks to David for answering our questions and showing us great hospitality! And, bonus, we loved the donuts!! 🍩

Turning Point had a great tour at the Goodman Community Center today. We learned all about the different services they provide to the community and learned about the different jobs around the center. A big thanks to Beth for showing us around!

Turning Point toured Verona Safety Supply, Inc. and learned about different equipment and supplies that can be used on jobs to stay safe. We also enjoyed seeing their new and much bigger space!

We worked on 2 fun art projects during our January art class today: sand art mandalas and corn kernel mosaics!

Turning Point toured PopDot this afternoon and learned a lot about the field of marketing and advertising. We also enjoyed Kate's challenge of thinking about which areas of marketing interest us most.
