⏰ The Daylight Saving Time sleep tip most parents don’t expect…

This Sunday, March 8 the clocks 🌷SPRING FORWARD🌷

And if you’re a parent, you might already be wondering:

“How is this going to mess with my baby’s sleep?” 😅

You’ve probably heard the advice to start shifting your child’s schedule 10-15 minutes every day leading up to the time change…

But honestly?

You don’t have to do that.

My advice is actually much simpler 👇

Do nothing.

Yep — really.

Instead of complicated schedule math, try this:

🌷 Wake your little one at their normal time on Sunday.
If they usually wake at 7am, wake them at 7am — even if their body wants to sleep another hour.

🌷 Keep naps at their usual times. (Even if it turns out to just be quiet play time in their room as they adjust.)

🌷 Stick with your normal daily routine
(meals, outdoor time, bedtime routine).

Kids are incredibly adaptable, and with consistency most adjust to the new schedule within about a week.

Good news: this spring change usually does NOT cause the super early mornings we see with the fall time change.

✨ This advice works best for babies 3+ months old when circadian rhythms are more established.

When I’m not juggling life with three littles, you’ll often find me building LEGO creations or crafting.
