Friends — We are reaching out today with a heavy heart but hopeful spirit. Elaine and Jered (Captain - Gautier Fire Department) recently experienced a sudden and traumatic event when their boat began taking on water and sank very quickly — yet by grace, they managed to escape with their lives and their fur-baby. While they are safe, the physical and emotional toll of this incident is enormous.

The loss of the boat and all personal belongings leaves them facing unexpected bills and the challenge of rebuilding almost from scratch. I’ve created a fundraiser to help them get back on their feet.

Please consider donating whatever you can — every dollar helps toward replacing equipment, personal items, and giving them a stable footing again.

Please donate to our brother and his wife who lost their home last night. Their only home was their boat , The boat took on water and sunk very quickly. All of their contents and personal belongings are lost. Thank you!

is all about fun and frights, but dark streets, excited kids, and busy roads can pose real risks.

The reminds families to use extra caution to help keep everyone this Halloween:

🚸 Stick to sidewalks and well-lit areas: visibility saves lives.
💡 Add reflective tape or glow sticks so drivers can see trick-or-treaters.
🍬 Check every piece of candy before eating. When in doubt, toss it out.
🧙‍♀️ Make sure costumes fit right and don’t block vision or movement.
🐕 Keep pets secured. Constant doorbell rings can cause chaos.

Stay alert, stay visible, and have a safe Halloween! 🕸️🕷️

On National First Responders Day, we honor every firefighter who runs into burning buildings while others run out. But the truth is — under Tier 5, those same heroes are being left behind when it comes to retirement.

After years of service, countless calls, and lives saved, Mississippi’s firefighters deserve a system that honors their sacrifice — not one that forgets it. It’s time for a First Responder Retirement Plan that protects those who protect us.
