We are now a 90-bed hospital and can grow alongside the community … up to about 200 beds. As a not-for-profit health care provider, all revenue is reinvested to provide advanced medical services and equipment. Madison Hospital is a member of Huntsville Hospital Health System.

🍂 It’s almost Thanksgiving, and we’re feeling grateful for our ever-vigilant Security Officer Irving Cruz. 👮

Irving has the perfect personality for his job – friendly and polite around patients, visitors and staff, but quick to step in when a situation gets stressful or even dangerous.

“You can tell he has a genuine care for everyone who works at Madison Hospital,” says a co-worker.

For keeping our campus safe, we are proud to recognize Irving as our November Employee of the Month! 🎊❤️💪

For hospitals, there’s nothing scarier than safety violations that could harm a patient. 😱

To emphasize that point on Halloween, vascular sonographer Brooke Forsythe created a truly spook-tacular “Haunted Hospital Safety Hunt” for our clinical staff. 👻

By carefully searching “Mummy Dearest’s” room for hidden hazards, our team got to test their patient-safety knowledge while earning a chance at fun prizes. 🎃

Let’s hear it for Brooke and her bewitching creativity! 🙌

We’re celebrating a monumental achievement: our 1,000th robotic surgery case! 🎊🤖🎊

Gynecologist Dr. Mark Purvis from OB-GYN Associates completed the milestone hysterectomy procedure using our ultra high-tech Da Vinci Xi system. In a bit of déjà vu, Dr. Purvis also performed the very first robotic surgery at Madison Hospital in February 2023.

Mother Baby nurses Mia Hickman and Allison Way made a great catch of their own recently when they noticed a patient was mistakenly prescribed multiple medications for the same complaint. 💊

For their unwavering commitment to patient safety, we presented Mia and Allison with our version of the Golden Glove – the HRO (High Reliability Organization) Hero Award! 🏆💚 🙌

Fortunately, we have great employees like Jeff Jones who make that job easier.

As the lead CT (Computed Tomography) tech in our busy Imaging Department, Jeff is a stickler about safety. He closely monitors CT dosage and ensures we adhere to all CT and radiation safety policies, every time. ✅

For always putting patients first, we presented Jeff with the HRO (High Reliability Organization) Hero Award. 🏆 Give him a pat on the back!

Last week's global Wave of Light event illuminated our Healing Garden with hope and remembrance. 💚

Families who have experienced infant loss during pregnancy or postpartum gathered together to honor their little ones through music, a moment of silence, and the lighting of candles.🕯️

This meaningful annual memorial reminds grieving parents across North Alabama, and around the world, that they are never alone. 🌎
