We are now a 90-bed hospital and can grow alongside the community … up to about 200 beds. As a not-for-profit health care provider, all revenue is reinvested to provide advanced medical services and equipment. Madison Hospital is a member of Huntsville Hospital Health System.

Big thanks to these sweet ladies from Huntsville’s Sigma Gamma Rho-Theta Theta Sigma Alumnae Chapter for donating a gift basket to the first baby born at our hospital on Nov. 12 – their sorority Founder’s Day.

New parents Hannah and Jacob Hunter not only welcomed a healthy baby girl, Stella Grace, they also took home some unexpected and much appreciated baby supplies! 👶 💚

We want to send the biggest shout out to our incredible little friend, Hattie James! 📣

For her 3rd birthday 🎂, Hattie surprised our Labor & Delivery team with a donation of new pediatric stethoscopes. 🩺

These precious tools will be used by our staff to listen to the very first heartbeats of our newest and tiniest patients. ❤️

If the old saying is true that an apple a day keeps the doctor away, then a personal visit from Apple must be twice as good for your health! 🍎

Our lovable facility dog made a surprise appearance at our employee flu shot clinic, providing comfort and cuddles for all. It’s hard to get too worked up about a needle stick when you have the world’s sweetest petite black Lab curled up in your lap. 🐶

🩺 Take it from Dogtor Apple: a flu shot is the most effective way to protect yourself and those around you from seasonal influenza.

We were happy to host Representative Dale Strong today for an update on health care in our fast-growing city. 📈

If you haven’t heard, we are in the process of adding 6 new ER exam rooms. This will significantly reduce wait times for the 5️⃣0️⃣,0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣-plus patients who visit our Emergency Department each year. 🚑

It means a lot to have our representatives engaged and supportive of the work we're doing to deliver top-notch care right here in North Alabama. Thanks for stopping by, Congressman Strong!

🍂 It’s almost Thanksgiving, and we’re feeling grateful for our ever-vigilant Security Officer Irving Cruz. 👮

Irving has the perfect personality for his job – friendly and polite around patients, visitors and staff, but quick to step in when a situation gets stressful or even dangerous.

“You can tell he has a genuine care for everyone who works at Madison Hospital,” says a co-worker.

For keeping our campus safe, we are proud to recognize Irving as our November Employee of the Month! 🎊❤️💪

For hospitals, there’s nothing scarier than safety violations that could harm a patient. 😱

To emphasize that point on Halloween, vascular sonographer Brooke Forsythe created a truly spook-tacular “Haunted Hospital Safety Hunt” for our clinical staff. 👻

By carefully searching “Mummy Dearest’s” room for hidden hazards, our team got to test their patient-safety knowledge while earning a chance at fun prizes. 🎃

Let’s hear it for Brooke and her bewitching creativity! 🙌

We’re celebrating a monumental achievement: our 1,000th robotic surgery case! 🎊🤖🎊

Gynecologist Dr. Mark Purvis from OB-GYN Associates completed the milestone hysterectomy procedure using our ultra high-tech Da Vinci Xi system. In a bit of déjà vu, Dr. Purvis also performed the very first robotic surgery at Madison Hospital in February 2023.

Mother Baby nurses Mia Hickman and Allison Way made a great catch of their own recently when they noticed a patient was mistakenly prescribed multiple medications for the same complaint. 💊

For their unwavering commitment to patient safety, we presented Mia and Allison with our version of the Golden Glove – the HRO (High Reliability Organization) Hero Award! 🏆💚 🙌
