It’s always a pleasant surprise to find a in Wisconsin (Appleton, to be specific).

No offense to other coffee shops, but everytime I visit Payton, there’s a right on the campus and we love it! They’re expanding in , but still kind of hard to find, so whenever I do see one, I make sure to treat myself.

If you could only eat one type of for the rest of your life, which would you pick?

For me, this is a tough one, I enjoy all styles for different reasons. That said, if I had to pick one, I’d go with style pizza. I just love the buttery crust!

style was a close second and might be my favorite overall pizza, but at times is a little too heavy.

How’s the job market?

We’ve been getting that question quite a bit lately and we’re starting to sense an uneasiness among job seekers. According to the November jobs report, there may be reason to be concerned.

New hires in November 2024 fell to 3.3%, which tied June 2024 for the lowest percentage of new hires since 2013. Further the rate of new hires has been steadily declining since 2022.

The silver lining in the report is that job openings hit a six month high in November, but most of those are service industry and production jobs.

Last Friday, I was fortunate enough to celebrate my 20th Anniversary with SPEC, Inc.

The last 20 years have flown by! I’ve learned a lot from colleagues, clients, mentors and whole lot of trial and error. We’ve had countless wins and faced our fair share of adversity, most notably a global recession and pandemic. All of it made me who I am today, therefore I wouldn’t change a thing.

I’m incredibly thankful that Kathleen McDermott took a chance on me, taught me the business and eventually had the confidence in me to carry on her legacy. I’m thankful for Jacquelyn Hunter and Jill Werlein, the two best teammates I could ever ask for and finally, I’m thankful for all my wonderful clients that put their faith and trust in me to help them build top performing teams or help them find their dream job.

I’m one of the truly fortunate people that can say I love what I do. When done right, assisting people and companies in career development is extremely rewarding. Plus, it’s always fun to look at the results of the teams I helped build on menus and in grocery stores across the country.

I won’t pretend that I want to work forever, but I’m not going anywhere anytime soon. If you’re looking to add to your team or would like to find a new and exciting career, don’t hesitate to reach out. My virtual door is always open.
