The engine under the hood at Path Recovery. Our Chief Operations Officer/Clinical Administrator Dr. Julie Eberwein!

“My name is Dr. Julie Eberwein. My formal education began with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Florida, leading to a Master of Arts in Counseling/Art Therapy from Norwich University. My career found its footing serving disenfranchised populations stricken with poverty, homelessness, incarceration, untreated addictions and mental illness. I have since held executive, leadership roles in for profit and not-for-profit behavioral health organizations throughout the state of Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Ohio, North Carolina, California, and Massachusetts. In addition, I have spent more than 30 years consulting and training staff from organizations all over the nation, utilizing dynamic and cutting-edge approaches to programming, service delivery, supervision, treatment, and research. In 2011, I earned my Doctorate Degree in Psychology with a Forensic focus from the Miami Institute of Psychology and Capella University. My doctoral research focused on co-occurring disorders and the criminal justice system. From 1999 to 2013, I also served as an adjunct professor of Psychology, Human Services, Women’s Studies, and Criminal Justice at the University of Central Florida and Seminole State. In my relentless pursuit of excellence, I have also obtained the following certifications and licenses: Licensed Professional Counselor with Mental Health Service Provider designation (LPC-MHSP), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Certified Addiction Professional (CAP), Criminal Justice Addiction Professional (CCJAP), Certified Addiction Prevention Professional (CPP), Certified E-Therapist (CET), and Clinically Certified Forensic Counselor (CCFC).

At the suggestion and encouragement of my clients (business leaders), I spend a lot of my professional time consulting for organizations and providing executive coaching, helping to start and shape a new direction in behavioral healthcare. I continue to provide face-to-face and virtual clinical services to individuals and couples with a variety of challenges. My focus on clinical care is collaborative, creative, and intentional.

I have been recognized across the country as an innovative and results-driven leader, and as the driving force behind the successful outcomes experienced by not only the exceptional behavioral health organizations I have served, but by the patients and families involved in services I have delivered. As a highly regarded professional in the behavioral health industry, I am known for my ability to make a difference in people’s lives. I have and will continue to be an agent of change in lives broken and shattered by mental illness, addiction, and trauma.

It is an exciting time to be a behavioral healthcare provider, as the industry moves to more integrated and evidence-based service expectations. It’s a systematic attempt to deliver efficient, cost-effective, multidisciplinary treatment that is patient/consumer centric and outcome driven. You may have to suspend disbelief, but all things are possible when we work together!”

Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it.

Brian Markham — better known to most as Juice — is one of the heartbeat pieces of the culture we’ve built at Path Recovery.

His laughter is contagious. His heart to serve people on a deeply personal, intimate level is unmatched. Juice has walked through fear, lived with mental health challenges, and knows firsthand the reality of self-harm. More importantly, he learned how to ask for help — and now he uses his lived experience, healing, and growth to help others do the same.

At Path, Juice shows up daily as a powerful group facilitator, creating space where people feel safe enough to be real. Outside of Path, he extends that same mission through his podcast, The Morning Juice, and by hosting The Reset Room — a weekly recovery meeting that is open, inclusive, and welcoming to all.

Because of Juice’s voice and vulnerability, thousands have been impacted. The Morning Juice alone has helped people be publicly honest and vulnerable for the very first time in their lives — and because of that courage, many have reached out for help and entered recovery.

After nearly 30 years in the restaurant industry and his own personal struggles, Juice now stands as one of the biggest lights on our team — a living example of what’s possible when healing meets purpose.

Thank you, Juice, for your work ethic, your heart, your honesty, and your leadership. We are better because you are here.

Today we want to shine a light on Tim and the work he does day in and day out for the clients we serve.

So often, credit in this field naturally goes to the clinical side—and rightfully so—but what doesn’t always get enough recognition are our techs. The people who spend the most time shoulder-to-shoulder with our clients. The ones having the raw conversations. Building authentic relationships. Sitting in the uncomfortable moments. Walking people through real life, not just treatment plans.

Tim embodies that role at the highest level.

He brings lived experience, deep compassion, and an unmatched work ethic into every interaction. What could have remained pain has been transformed into purpose. What once broke him now fuels his ability to serve others with humility and strength.

We are incredibly grateful Tim chose to join our team. He is a perfect example of how lived experience and passion, when paired with accountability and heart, turn into next-level servant leadership.

Thank you, Tim, for showing up consistently and loving people well. Our clients are better because of you—and so are we.

Before… and now.

There was a season when Wink was lost in addiction and cycling through the prison system—caught in a pattern that so many never escape.

Today, he walks those same streets free, serving with Path Recovery—meeting people exactly where they are, offering hope, dignity, and love to those who feel forgotten.

And full circle—he now volunteers with TDOC, returning to the very prison system he once lived in. Not as an inmate, but as a mentor. As proof that change is possible. As a man showing others they don’t have to be defined by their past or trapped in the revolving door of incarceration.

Wink is living evidence that recovery isn’t just about staying sober—it’s about becoming a servant. About going back into the dark with a light so others can find a way out.

This is what redemption looks like.
This is what purpose looks like.
This is how lives get changed.

Proud of you, brother

Everyone dies.
Not everyone truly lives.

Living isn’t just breathing. It’s not surviving day to day, stuck in the same cycles, carrying the same weight, or numbing the same pain. Real living is freedom. It’s purpose. It’s waking up with clarity, hope, and direction—even when life is hard.

So many people exist for years without ever experiencing what life can be. Recovery isn’t about perfection. It’s about choosing growth over comfort, honesty over avoidance, and purpose over fear.

If you’re tired of just getting by…
If you’re ready to stop existing and start living…
If you’re ready to take the first step toward something better…

We’re here.
