One of the first books I got after diagnosis was this one. I had received so many wonderful gifts of amazing affirmations which were truly helpful but also I have a little bit of dark humor in my life and every time I get a bit frustrated I look at this book and it makes me laugh.

My missed treatment day turned into an impromptu pool night at the hotel with the kids. I’m supposed to get treatment tomorrow thankfully, and even though this was a crappy situation to go through yet again I feel incredibly lucky that I have an oncologist willing to call me from his cell phone at night and talk to me and I feel much better.
