We got to celebrate a beautiful woman today! Our lovely, Nettie is turning 102 tomorrow. 🎂

To know Nettie, is to love her! It is a privilege to be able to care for her, and for her to be apart of our community. She has a beautiful heart, a mind full of wisdom, and a smile that is absolutely contagious. Her family is just as sweet! We were so happy to celebrate her and the beautiful life she’s lived!

Come join us! Next week is our Fall Festival, followed by our Trunk or Treat.

We will be having a costume contest as well, which will be judged by our wonderful residents! It’ll be fun for the whole family, food trucks, and of course, candy!

We painted pumpkins this week! 🎨🎃

Everyone put so much work into their pumpkins. A few loved continuing a tradition normally done with their families. The best part was getting to sit and talk with everyone while we painted. Hearing their stories, and lessons from life, it never gets old! 🫶🏻

We cant wait to continue the fall themed fun next week at our fall festival and trunk or treat! 🎃🍂

It’s a Parkgrove Prom 💖✨

We can’t even put into words how wonderful the night was. I am so proud to have worked with such wonderful young ladies. Bryleigh, and her sweet friends did everything to make sure our residents were pampered, and that they had a true prom experience. The hard work and time that went into this was worth it. Seeing such young ladies, be so full of compassion, was beautiful. They were so patient, kind, and mindful of each persons needs.

Apart from getting to dance, and maybe feeling spiffy for the night. Some of our people had never been to prom. This was an experience they never thought they’d get to have. Seeing their faces light up, seeing the tears of joy, it was magical. The start of a new tradition. Thank you to every single person involved in making this come together. Thank you to our wonderful residents, they’re the reason we do it all.

These photos will be cherished forever. As will the memories. 💐💝

Celebrating Rehab Week!

Our therapy team is one of the best! They go above and beyond everyday for our residents. They deserve so much recognition. Shana, our wound care nurse, and her mother came in early and had a brunch bar set up. While that was going Elizabeth and Margaret, both from our therapy department, had a dirty alani cart set up.

Our residents celebrated with an ice cream bar! Later on we finished up with root beer floats. It was a day full of treats. We are so grateful to have such a wonderful team! 🥳

Play doh is a huge tool we use around here. Whether it be for sensory play, building hand strength, or just for the fun of it! So we were happy to celebrate today. We made coasters, trinkets bowls, birthday cakes. Our personal favorite was the bird nest!
