If I could gather every waffle I made this year and place them on one long table…
I think I’d just stand there for a moment and breathe it all in.

Not because of the flavors themselves—
but because each one represents a month where someone out there gave me a chance.

A chance to show that healthy food can still be joyful.

That flavor doesn’t have to be sacrificed.

That nourishment can feel like comfort.

This year brought Apple Cinnamon…
Banana Chocolate Chip…
Zucchini Bread…
Carrot Cake…
Butternut Squash…
Blueberry…
Peach…
Pumpkin Spice…
Purple Sweet Potato…
Chai…
Caramel Apple…
and soon, Gingerbread.

Twelve months of creativity.
Twelve months of stories.
Twelve months of community.

And I’m grateful for every single person who said “yes”—
whether it was one pack, a freezer restock, a new flavor,
or joining the Waffle of the Month Club.

You’ve allowed me to share joy from my kitchen…
and today on Thanksgiving, I’m thinking about each of you.

If someone came to mind while you were scrolling through these flavors, tag them or share this with them.
Joy is always better passed along.

2026 is coming… and I promise, what’s ahead is worth being part of.
From my heart to your home — thank you.

I wanted to share something that’s been sitting with me today, and maybe it’ll sit with you too.

I’m in Florida visiting my dad this week. He’s not in great health, and movement has never really been a part of his life.

Growing up around that stays with you, even long after you’ve moved out and built your own routines.

Last night, after we settled in, I looked up a CrossFit gym nearby so I could keep my rhythm this morning. Nothing extreme—just something that feels like me.

Then I saw the workout: bench press.
The one lift that makes me second-guess myself every single time.

And right on cue, the excuses showed up.
“You don’t need to go.”
“You could just run instead.”
“No one here will know.”

But I’ve learned something about myself: the moment I start trying to talk myself out of something I know is good for me… that’s usually the moment I need to run toward it, not away from it.

So I got up before everyone else, drove to a gym where I didn’t know a soul, and walked in anyway.

The owner greeted me immediately and said something simple that landed harder than he probably realized:
“You’re choosing to do something for yourself every day.”

And it made me think about how much these quiet choices add up.
Not the dramatic moments, not the big declarations—just the small, steady decisions we make when no one’s paying attention.

Being here with my dad this week brings all of that into focus.
The habits he never built… and the ones I’m trying to hold onto.
Not perfectly. Just intentionally.

And since a lot of us are around family this week—old rooms, old memories, old versions of ourselves—I want to ask you the same thing I asked in the carousel:
What’s one small thing you’re choosing for yourself this week?

Nothing big. Nothing complicated.

Just one thing that helps you take care of you.
If you feel like sharing, I’d truly love to hear it.

It’s not a gimmick.
It’s not a ploy.
This is real food.

When I say every batch is made with real, whole ingredients…I mean it.

These apples? I cut them, cook them, season them myself — every single time.

Warm cinnamon-spiced apples and homemade applesauce in every bite…
that’s what makes this month’s Caramel Apple waffle so special.

And the messages you’ve sent me about this new flavor?
They mean everything.

If you want waffles like this delivered to your door every month — without ever missing a new flavor — the Waffle of the Month Club is where you belong.

One sign-up. Zero thinking. Just joy on your doorstep.

Some people will tell you, “shoes make the outfit.”

I’m over here saying, “waffles make your morning.”

And not just any waffles.
Nope. I’m talking about my whole-food, nothing-but-clean-ingredients, gluten-free waffles that somehow make you feel a little more put together before the day even starts.

And the flavors?

What if I told you that you could have a different flavor every single day?
Flavors so fresh, so warm, so real… your taste buds literally do a happy dance before you’ve even had your coffee.

Maybe you’re a Waffle of the Month Club girl who loves getting that exclusive flavor delivered right to your door.

Or maybe you’re the “one batch at a time” type — picking the exact flavor you’re craving that week.
Either way… I’ve got you.

Tap the link in my bio, choose what fits your life best, and NEVER miss out on a joy-filled morning again. 🧇♥️

I almost talked myself out of it.
But her words wouldn’t let me.

A few days ago, my 12-year-old and I were driving in the car when I told her I’d be doing the Chad Hero WOD again this year — 1,000 step-ups on a 20-inch box to honor Navy SEAL Chad Wilkinson.

I told her I’d done it last year with a 14-pound vest… and this year, I wanted to wear 35.

Before I could even stop myself, I started giving all the reasons I might back out.
She turned to me and said, “You’re strong, Mom. You can totally do it.”

Those words hit different.
Because when your child tells you who they see you as — you want to rise and meet her there.

I went into the workout with a plan.
My steps were broken into little chunks, my water ready, my mind steady. But halfway through, I realized I had miscounted.

I was further behind than I thought. I sat down. Frustrated. Mad. Tired.

The voices in my head weren’t kind.
And then I heard her voice again — You’re strong, Mom.

So I stood back up. 25 step-ups at a time. Sit. Breathe. 25 more.
When I finally hit 1,000, the clock read 92:54 — 27 minutes longer than last year, 21 pounds heavier, and a reminder of what it means to keep stepping - no matter what you carry.

This one wasn’t about time. It was about belief.

For Chad. For every unseen battle.
For the little girl who reminded her mom what strong really means. ❤️

Thank you for sharing your rucksack with me
Thank you for the strength you give me everyday

July Reflections…
Wow, July has been one of the busiest months in a long time, full of highs and moments of growth.

The past 31 days have been packed with:
•Quality time with my daughters and toddler grandson
•ALOT of waffles (and I mean A LOT!)
•Hands-on cooking activities teaching at summer camp
•Time spent working on my strength in my happy place
•Much-needed moments to reconnect with myself

Some of my favorite highlights:
🏋️‍♀️ PR deadlift — 4 reps x 200 # (I’m feeling STRONG)
🧇 Waffle of the month: Blueberry (my new fave)
🍤 Favorite summer salad full of flavor — grilled seafood
👶 My sweet boy enjoying his first blueberry waffle (heart melting)
🥞 Summer campers using their creativity to make pancake animals
🧇 More blueberry waffles (Can you tell I’m obsessed?)
💪 Embracing strength over size — being strong is where the power is
♥️ Learning to love my body and the skin I’m in
🍫 No-bake energy balls for the campers — because energy = joy
👩‍👧 My mini-me
📦 Shipping waffles? Never imagined it, but here we are
🍽 Breakfast perfection on a red plate — loving myself through food
💛 More food fun
🐾 My sidekick — always by my side, even in the kitchen
💥 Kicking that inner critic to the curb and proving to myself: I AM strong and an athlete.

Here’s to the beautiful chaos of growth, strength, and real joy. ♥️

This moment stuck with me.

Not because a seven-year-old used the word stress,
but because he linked it to food — without hesitation.

He was decorating his pancake when he said it.
a moment that should’ve been silly and fun.
and yet... that word came out so naturally.

Our kids are listening.

They’re watching how we talk about food,
how we use it to cope,
how we treat ourselves in the process.
I’ve lived that.

I’ve used food to numb, to comfort, to control.
and I’ve also learned how to build something better.

That’s what I teach now — in my kitchen and in my work.

Because food should feel safe.
joyful. nourishing.

Not something we run to when we feel overwhelmed.

if you’re a parent, a teacher, or someone healing your own food story —
I hope this reminds you that the little moments matter.

My inbox is always open if you need a safe space to talk about it.
