This weekend, Dr. Alex spoke at the ASDA National Leadership Conference, the largest dental student meeting in the country. She shared one of the core principles we lead with at Alcan: minimally invasive pediatric dentistry done the right way.
For us, minimally invasive care isn’t about putting things off or avoiding honest conversations. It means:
Keeping kids safe
Doing the right thing at the right time
Providing care that lasts, so children don’t end up needing more aggressive or costly treatment later
Dr. Alex also spent time talking with future dentists about the real pitfalls she sees across our field things like supervised neglect and approval-seeking and how they can impact a child’s long-term health. These patterns are more common than many families realize, which is why early, proactive, evidence-based care matters so much.
We’re proud that Dr. Alex is recognized as a leader in minimally invasive pediatric dentistry and that she’s helping teach the next generation what this philosophy truly looks like in practice. Minimally invasive care doesn’t mean ignoring problems. It means choosing the safest, most effective path at the right time, grounded in science, experience, and integrity.
To every family and every practice that trusts us to support their mission, thank you. We’ll keep showing up with honesty, transparency, and the high standards Dr. Alex carries with her wherever she teaches.
