As we prepare to welcome family and friends for Angie Pinkham’s service tomorrow, at the Boothbay Baptist Church, we expect heavier-than-usual traffic. Extra parking will be available at Hall Funeral Home for those who are able to walk a little bit.
Thank you for helping us keep traffic moving smoothly and for supporting the Pinkham family.

We’re proud to support the voices that keep our communities connected. 🤍

Michael Hall, Owner & President of Hall Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, recently presented sponsorship support to Lang Sheppard of Boothbay Region Community Television.

Local community television plays an important role in sharing stories, events, and information that matter to the people who live here. As a locally owned funeral home, we believe in showing up for the organizations that strengthen Midcoast Maine and help keep neighbors connected.

Thank you to Boothbay Region Community TV for the work you do—and for letting us be a small part of it.

🦫❄️Groundhog Day at Evergreen, Orff’s Corner, and Village Cemetery 🦫❄️

Today, the groundhog saw his shadow — a reminder that winter will stay with us a little longer.

These 3 cemeteries in the Midcoast have witnessed many seasons pass. Snow settles, thaws come, and life continues its steady rhythm. Even in the quiet of winter, time keeps moving forward.

As we pause on this February day, we’re reminded that patience has always been part of the journey — and that spring, in its own time, will return.

Honored to Serve Midcoast Maine since 1958.

🎨 National Inspire Your Heart With Art Day 🎨
🗓 January 31 🗓

🖌Art has a way of holding what words sometimes can’t.

On National Inspire Your Heart With Art Day🤍, we invite individuals and families of all ages to use creativity as a gentle way to remember, reflect, and express love for those who are no longer physically with us.

Whether it’s painting, drawing, coloring, or creating something meaningful from the heart, art can help:
• Honor memories
• Express emotions safely
• Create connection across generations

There is no right or wrong way to participate — just create in a way that feels supportive and true to you.

At Hall Funeral Home & Cremation Services, we believe remembrance can be soft, personal, and meaningful — and that creativity can be a quiet form of healing. 🤍

Goooooood Morning Thomaston!!

I hope everyone is doing well! I think everyone knows by now that this weekends weather is shaping up to be a weeee bit chilly! There is also a threat of a large snow storm on Sunday and Monday as well!

I hope this is not the case, but if you find yourself in need of a warm place to stay, please reach out to this amazing place! They will even pick you up and feed you! Our community is great!

Please stay safe and warm everyone and as always, if you need us, TPD will be there! Stay safe everyone and have a great weekend!!

The Boothbay Fire Department has opened their Station today 24 hours for warming and shelter. Betsy said the Boothbay Region Fire Auxillary volunteers are on stand by and will come in as needed.

You are encouraged to bring your own bedding, pillow, etc., board games, cards, and asked to leave the place like you found it. Thank you all who are involved in offering this shelter to our community if it is needed.

❄️ Snowflake Memories ❄️

Grief can feel big — especially for children. Sometimes the gentlest way to help is through creating, remembering, and talking together.

Snowflakes are all different. No two are ever the same.
Memories of a special person are like that too — each one unique, each one meaningful.

Our Snowflake Memories activity invites children to write, draw, or create memories on paper snowflakes — honoring their special person in a way that feels safe, creative, and age-appropriate. These snowflakes can be displayed at Services, on walls, windows, or doors, turning remembrance into something visible, shared, and comforting.

This activity can help children:
• Express feelings through art
• Share stories and memories
• Feel connected in a gentle, supportive way

We’ve also created a printable snowflake template to make this activity easy to use at home, in classrooms, or in quiet moments together.

At Hall Funeral Home & Cremation Services, we believe remembering can be soft, thoughtful, and meaningful — especially for little hearts. 🤍

If you use this activity, we hope it brings moments of connection, conversation, and care. If you feel comfortable, our Tribute Team would love to see your creations in the comments!

We’d like to take a moment on this nationally recognized holiday, Squirrel Appreciation Day, to thank our very dedicated Cemetery Ground Crew. 🐿️🌲

From forest regeneration and seed dispersal to soil aeration (and the occasional graveside appearance), their behind-the-scenes work helps keep our cemeteries healthy, beautiful, and thoughtfully cared for. We truly couldn’t do it without them.

🌿 Green burial is an option in Maine — and one we are honored to provide.

At Hall Funeral Home & Cremation Services, we support families who are seeking a natural, environmentally conscious approach to burial. Green burial emphasizes simplicity, sustainability, and a meaningful return to the earth, while still allowing space for personal choice and remembrance.

Our role is to guide families through the process with care — from understanding what green burial involves to coordinating services at approved natural and conservation burial grounds throughout Maine.

If you have questions or would like to learn more, our Directors are always here to talk.

🤍 Here to guide you with care
