Breastfeeding while healing from birth is a lot đ¤
Whether you had a vaginal delivery or a C-section, your body is recovering and nourishing your baby at the same time. Thatâs no small thing.
Soreness, fatigue, emotional ups and downs, learning your babyâs cuesâit can feel overwhelming. And if breastfeeding feels harder in this season, that doesnât mean youâre doing it wrong.
As a lactation consultant, I remind moms: your healing matters too. Prioritize rest when you can, lean into supportive positions, stay hydrated, and donât hesitate to ask for help.
You donât have to push through pain or figure it all out alone. Support can make all the difference in both your recovery and your feeding journey.
Two things can be trueâyou can be healing and learning to breastfeed. Give yourself permission to do both, gently.
