Our partnership with Being Patient to educate the community about Alzheimer's disease has been nothing short of amazing. Now, in her personal journey, Deborah has decided to share her mother's pathology results.
"After caring for my mother through years of dementia, our family decided to donate her brain to UCSF. The autopsy revealed a complexity none of us expected: three co-existing pathologies. On March 10 at 1:30 p.m. PT, I'll sit down with Dr. Bruce Miller, Director of the UCSF Memory and Aging Center, and my mother's neurologist, Dr. David Soleimani-Meigooni, to review the findings together in a live public conversation.
I'm making my mother's autopsy report public for one reason: to inspire more families to consider brain donation."
